I joined second life thinking it would be easy to acquire things and make friends by joining groups and communities and that they would then explain how things are done in this virtual life.
On the first day of joining, it was frustrating trying to find my way from one destination to another hoping to meet other people and make friends. But firstly, I went through three distinct levels, level one wasn’t so bad, level two was a bit of a struggle, I fell down a bridge because I couldn’t fly high enough, I had to do this numerous time before I got get it. And my avatar, is another issue. I find it difficult to place my avatar in a good placement for walking and running. I finally did get through the levels and found myself in a garden with nothing

He finds that he loves silk hose and nighties. Due to ethical reasons, he asks that some of the information he gave me shouldn’t be used in my project and because of the limited information he gave me access to, he introduced a friend so his to me and a had a lengthy conversation.
I asked her several questions and these are the answers and explanations she gave me.

Ethical issues/ challenges:
People pretending to be what they are not (men pretending to be women or pretty girls, which isn’t ok when role playing. She’s heard of men who fell in love with a girl who turns out to be a man. (lying)
Virtual killing; this happens in some role play sim, characters can get killed in a place, but u can come back to SL not as your old self but u can’t go back to the place you were killed.
Abuse is common on SL, being in an abusive relationship when role playing as a Sub to a Dom.
Copybotting (copyright infringement); the creators on and in SL create and make cool clothes, someone from SL steals the ideas and creates them in real life (RL) not considering that the SL creators uses these creations to make a living. To say I was shocked was an understatement. I asked how such issues can be dealt with? She said to report the perpetuator to Linden labs, they delete the copybotted stuff the perpetuator is banned from SL, she how it is done but it is
