What is a personal legend you may ask? Have you ever thought as a child what happens down the road later on? Does a personal legend tend to what you can only be. Or do you decide what you will be. People label personal legends as dreams mostly. You never know if it will come true or not. Maybe something or someone might block you from completing those dreams. Personal legends complete us as a full human being. Who creates your personal legend? Does god decide what your personal legend might be ,or do you decide what you will become. Does the world help you decipher what your personal legend might be. Can supernatural powers be one of your legends you never knew. So, he talked to a gypsy about how to find such treasure. She says omens is what will help him along the way. After the gypsy gave this information, she granted that she wanted at least ten percent of whatever he finds. Finally the omens lead him to a plaza which he read his book. “As he read on, an old man sat down next to him and tried to strike a conversation.”(pg19). The old man told the shepherd that only omens can help him decide his personal legend. After numerous miles travel through the desert, he found out it would be harder than it intended to be. He was held hostage by an army of arabic people. The arabic said he had to pay them or die. Santiago then offered he could blow away their camp with the wind. The arabic thought it was a joke but they still wanted him to die. You really think that a human being can transform into the wind; that’s impossible. But Santiago spoke to god to help him in this situation. God granted his wish and helped him destroy the camp. He was on his way back to the pyramids. Nearly months have past, and he has finally reached his destination the
