Personal Narrative: A Life Changing Experience

I remember that day when my brother and i walked into the hospital in wichita.We all knew that there was a big problem. We walked in to the emergency room where my dad was. I knew he had been sick but didn't think that he was that sick. After walking in the emergency room I talked to my dad for a while about how basketball training was and what I had been doing. Then next thing you Know I find out that our nurse is one of our family members. So we sat there just looking at my dad and then he just out of nowhere got really bad and so they kept him overnight but moved him into his own regular room number 142. So we said them and then they took him to his room and we had to step out.After about thirty minutes my mom came back in and told us we could go into see him. She also told us that he was drugged up and his hands were tied up because they didn't want him to pull the tube out. When we went in there my sister in I it was so sad. We had never saw my dad in that way we always saw him in the happy joyful way. My sister was barely in there and she started crying so she left and it was just me and I could barely handle it. Then my mom came in and I left because it was way to hard to see. So i sat in the waiting room just thinking about how i would handle it if my dad wasn't here anymore and if everything would be the same. Then my mom came in and said they were waking my dad up and so i went in there and he was up off the sleeping medicine. I went up to him and held his hand and he looked at me and i knew he was trying to tell me to untie his hand so that he could take the tube out. I told him i couldn't and he closed his eyes and didn't try anymore. That was one hard thing not to do because i was so used to helping him with everything.
