I felt very nervous on the way to the hospital. I did not know if I would ever dance again. My mom tried to stay calm, but I knew she was worried about me. When we got there I was brought a wheelchair by my sister and my mom rolled me in. Once the peachy lady at the desk looked at me and my ankle, her eyes got really big and I knew I had done something really harmful to myself. I just concluded seventh grade and it was the night after school ended. On that hot summer night Ashley and I went over to Evie’s house for a sleepover. She brought an ice pack for me and told me to stay calm. She did not really get what I did to my ankle, but she knew it wasn’t good, I could tell.
Once she couldn’t do anything else she whispered to me that I needed to go to the hospital and I probably needed an x-ray. Evie’s mom said she could go and get a stroller to help me get to the car, but I decided to hop on one foot with Evie on one side of me and Ashley on the other side of me. When I got to the car I sat in the front seat and Ashley and Evie sat in the back. When we got to my house I stayed in the car while Evie’s mom talked very quietly to my mom what had happened and that she suggested that I go to the ER. My mom came and helped me out of the car with Ashley’s help and I went into my mom’s car. When we got to the ER a few minutes later and the parking lot did not have many cars in it. The night was very quiet and I got even more anxious to find out what had happened. The nurse came and wheeled me into a very small room and said very calmly that the doctor will be right with me. I felt like I had butterflies in my stomach. When the doctor came in the room, she looked over my ankle and tried to have me move my ankle, but I could not do it so she said I will be getting an x-ray to help her see through all the swelling in my …show more content…

My ankle was still getting more swollen and I didn't think it would ever stop. The nurse came back in with a brace for my ankle to hold it in place so I can’t move it and some crutches. I really didn't want crutches, but I knew I would not be able to walk on it. She said I needed to rest it a lot and ice it a lot, so the swelling will go down. The doctor gave my mom a stack of papers that told her about what had happened and what to do for healing and she said we could go. After I got home, I was very tired and my sisters had made a bed for me on the couch with an ice pack by
