“Wake up, you are going to be late for school,” my mom said as I lay half awake in my bed. “I will get ready in a few minutes,” now wide awake, I said. The first thing I did was when I got out of my bed was check my phone to see what time it was. It was about 7:20, 10 minutes past the usually time I wake up. Next, I scampered to the bathroom to take a shower. After I got out of the shower I put in my contacts. I remember vaguely on how bad my eyes hurt that morning when I put in my contacts. Then I got dressed then headed to the kitchen to eat breakfast. I had what my brother and I called a game day breakfast. It consisted of pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. I got up stairs, opened up my locker huffing and puffing from darting up stairs. I opened my locker threw my things in my locker, and grabbed my first hour materials. First hour seemed to be endless. I do not really remember what we learning, but it was probably something geography related. Then study hall came, study hall was one of my favorite classes. In study hall it seemed to fly by. I was listening to music, and playing cards with Logan Shackleton. After Study Hall it was science. Science was my favorite class. Ms. Johnson was the best teacher ever. She did not really care what we did if we got science done first. Science was fun, because Ms. Johnson had made it fun. After science I had Language Arts. I liked Language Arts, but it was not the best. Next, I had intervention, and then Lunch. That day we had had pizza dippers. Which is the best things ever invented. After lunch I had math, and then literacy. I had finished the school day off with phy ed, the best class ever. During pre game all of the team sat in a almost perfect circle, at center court. We stretched out our legs, did some layups, and shot around. During our layups everything was insync. It was about ten minutes until game time. At ten minutes before the game we all huddled by the bench. We talked our gameplan, and founded out who was starting. I found out I was the starting point guard. This was amazing. The first A game of the year, and I was the starting point guard. I had been in the starting line up for traveling basketball, but to be the starting point guard in school ball showed me that all of my hardwork and dedication paid off.
