Basketball is a game of chess. It is non stop running shouting and yelling, just like my championship tournament for my Hoover basketball team. I was tired before the tournament even started because I had already played a game earlier in the morning at 9:00 am at Chelsea Elementary School with my Berry team. After that game I went to play in a tournament for my Hoover team at 11:00am.
Louise Erdrich’s The Round House, is a powerful story that follows a thirteen year old boy, Joe, on his path to finding justice for his mother. The novel is written in a retrospective narrative, allowing the reader to gain insight as to how Joe felt while he was searching for justice, as well as how he felt years later. The novel is set 1988, a time when Native Americans were not receiving the justice they deserved for the crimes that were committed against them. In the novel, Joe’s mom, Geraldine, was raped by a white man, but it’s a very slippery slope because law enforcement is unsure whether the crime happened on the reservation or on white land.

Basketball is the world's second-most-watched sport and the most-paid sport. But what is basketball about? It is an involved sport with two teams of five players each goal to score as many points as the other team. But you may be asking why is it a risky sport if there are a lot of good things coming out of it. The reason is that basketball involves a lot of movement, constantly running, jumping, and pivoting, which puts a lot of strain on your knees and joints.
The first level of play is very basic. It is called in-house basketball and is played for as long as a player wants to. This level is made for players who are new to the game or looking to work on some fundamentals. The next level is travel basketball. This level is one level up from in-house and the competition is better.
The sport of basketball has become very popular and is played worldwide; it is played at many different levels. From playing as a kid to playing in high school to playing in college and then, playing as a professional, at each level it is very competitive. In the United States it is the most popular because everyone wants to play in the national basketball association which is professional basketball in America. In order to make it into the national basketball association you have to go through college. Although college basketball and professional basketball have the same concept of putting the ball in the hoop and winning for your team, there are many differences between the two.
Basketball is played on a court inside. It is played on 84 ft court and it is rectangle shape. It consists of two three point lines, free throw line, and and baseline. There is one of each on each side. There is even a half court line.
It was game day today. My teammates and I had a game against our rivalry high school Alta and we were pumped because we have beaten them every year since 2014. This year felt like we would keep that streak up and in motion. They had 6 really tall players while we only had 2. It made us all nervous for a while until we seemed to get over it.
