Arizona’s a Desert, Yo Me: “Hey, did I ever articulate how I was incriminated for shoplifting? Therapist Dan: “The aforementioned is not in my transcriptions. What’s the significance?” Me: “The situation kicked off my anxiety of constabularies for starters.”
As I drive around Phoenix with my puppy best friends, Sophie and Paco, there is not a single worry in the world for us. Sophie, with her long, brown, sun kissed fur, bobs her head out the car window as she enjoys the fresh breeze flowing through her fur. Paco rests his little head on the window that is halfway rolled down, as his wet tongue absorbs the wind. On our weekly car rides, my best friends and I pass by a building that has signs with dogs and cats all over. This building is a shelter for animals that are not so fortunate like my two furry friends.
My home state is Texas, and a problem Texas faces is an overall mindset of systemic racism, sexism, and xenophobia. Texas is a very conservative state, thus many of the policies passed by our legislation are written at the expense of women and minorities. Although I might sound highly critical of our state government, I do not believe that these negative mindsets are deliberate attempts to put others down, I feel that it is simply an ignorance to the issues women and minorities face, and a lack of empathy. Ignorance is easily countered by thorough education. The easiest way to solve this is for us constituents of these politicians, to bring the issues that affect us to the forefront.
Greeting from Yuma, I 'm sorry I have not sent a letter or called I haven 't had the opportunity. I want to let you know that I 'm okay and I 'm adventuring God 's’ beautiful creations. The craziest thing that has happened to me this far was deciding to paddle down the colorado river. I hitched hiked into Needles, California and began hiking south following the river bank.
The city of Las Vegas is one of the intercontinental entertainment centers with millions of visitors yearly, and place for the diverse immigrants seek various levels of careers. The diverse population differed by cultural belief, faith, and values, including language and lifestyle. We are exposed to many non-English speaking patients and families for health care delivery within the hospital as well as communitywide. Recently one of my new grads had been assigned to a twenty-nine-year-old young female with postoperative complicated abdominal surgery which was hospitalized for more than five weeks. The language barrier is so common and includes the nurses are expected to refrain from arguing, interrupting, or judging.
Kansas was a dull and dreary place. The farm I lived on was a dusty and flat piece of land. I could see the land touch the sky in all directions. There wasn’t one tree on the property. The sun could become extremely hot at times especially with my fur coat.
October 23, 1947 9:30a.m. in Tucson, there I was just casually walking around, I couldn’t remember why I was there but all I knew at that point was that I was hungry. All I could think was where I was going to eat. So I just kept walking around till I had found something to eat.
Growing up in Phoenix I remember having to bike to school in the morning and home at the end of the day. I would bike passed hundreds of people and judge them solely on how they looked. I never thought twice about it until one day when I was 14. I was biking home from school when I ran over the jagged spikes of a goat head thorns. They punctured my tires and slowly began to release the air pressure that was built in.
When you're eighteen, it's hard for anyone to tell you what to do. After all you're an adult and you definitely think you've experienced it all. I’m a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School was not much different in my thinking - wanting to chase my dreams and have a college life beyond the boundaries of Kalamazoo. As an 18 year old, I was ready to leave my hometown, I thought I had seen everything Kalamazoo had to offer, and I was ready for new beginnings.
There are many great things about my state, Alabama. Today, I will name my 3 favorite things I love about my home. My first favorite thing about the state of Alabama would be our coastal shores of Mobile. I love the warm sand against my feet as the breeze waves through my hair. I love the sound of children screaming and laughing as they play, the seagulls flapping and screeching, and the waves crashing against the shore.
Once Cara got back from the long swim in the lake they decided that it was best if they go back to California. Cara packed her long sleeves, each pair of pants and socks and her many shoes. Once they were all done packing they got out of Issac Mendez’s house and got a taxi. Once they got to the airport Cara, Lyle and Issac just stared at the crowd huge of people going in and out of the airport. They got out of the taxi and went into the huge crowd of people with their bags glued to their hands.
If you have a dream you and it’s what you really want and you are willing to work hard for it then you can achieve anything you desire. I had a dream that I achieved at a young age and it is one of the greatest moments in my life. Since I was 14 I had a dream of winning and making my mark in the APA history. In the APA pool league the road to Las Vegas is a long and hard fought path that only the strongest and most determined can achieve. I joined the league when i turned 18 and began me journey into what became the best experience of my life.
Growing up summer was a love and hate relationship for me. I grew up in a town called Palm Desert in the Palm Springs area in Southern California for all of my life. Summer there is not exactly typical in terms of “hot weather”. This so called “hot weather” might be various degrees different from what I know as hot.
My first time going to Arizona was to see my grandma. In Arizona we did a lot of things. Going to Arizona was the worst because it took a long time and it was a long drive. When we got to my grandmas house we were tired so we unpacked and went to sleep.
My urban family of six plus a Wheaten terrier puppy, Rosie, are each involved in activities while expected to excel academically. My older vegetarian sister, Grace, ran on the varsity cross country her freshman year before breaking her leg. My younger brother Michael, is a Seido karate black belt and following my interest in robotics. Christian, the youngest member excels at soccer and Minecraft. My role involves often mediating between them.
