However, is that really true? Safran Foer explains that turkey wasn’t part of Thanksgiving festivities “until the nineteenth century”, as well as other foods associated with the holiday, such as cranberries and corn (250). No one can’t say that they’re eating turkey because of tradition if it wasn’t eaten until two centuries after Thanksgiving. If Americans want to use this reasoning, they should be eating bean soup, which is believed to be served at the actual first Thanksgiving in the late 1500s (Safran Foer 250). Furthermore, even if turkeys were eaten at the first Thanksgiving, despite not becoming a tradition for 200 years, the turkeys eaten then were nothing like the turkeys we eat now.
The hostility of the Eagle shown in its actions are clear to see, however a deeper understanding of the story depicts the animals as being more hostile. For instance, the animals knew about the Stag’s illness, and continued to eat the food that nurtures the Stag. This shows the Animals carelessness towards the Stag’s health. In the paragraph the author states how the Animals, “helped themselves freely to the Stag’s food…” The quote indicates that the Animals ate the Stag’s food with no shame; the Animals knew of the Stag’s sickness.

A horrific killer is loose across the land of England. There is nothing to fight it as it continues to rapidly create chaos in a terrible nightmare called life. The killer is a sickening disease in the air that is impossible to contain. 1) It is 1352, in Northern Europe five years since the first symptoms of this illness had been exhibited. It was dormant in my body until when I recently contracted the wildly contagious illness by attempting to take care of my brother.
Documentary Reflection #1 – Food, Inc. Food, Inc. is an incredible account of what really occurs in our food system in the United States. This documentary takes a closer look at the farming industry and unveils a very dark side. It is amazing to think that chickens have been re-engineered to produce more white meat and grow to their full size in 49 days compared to the usual three months. These chickens can barely stand since they cannot hold their own weight and are pumped with antibiotics due to their horrendous living conditions. It just doesn’t seem right.

After her passing; something changed in me, darkness filled where love once was.
In Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s 1981 novella Chronicle of a Death Foretold, the narrative recounts the events leading up to the eventual murder of bachelor Santiago Nasar, a man accused of taking the virginity of the defrocked bride Angela Vicario despite the lack of evidence to prove the claim, and the reactions of the citizens who knew of the arrangement to sacrifice Nasar for the sake of honor. This highly intricate novella incorporates a range of literary techniques, all of which are for the readers to determine who is really to blame for Santiago Nasar’s death. Marquez uses techniques such as foreshadowing and the structure of narrative, along with themes such as violence, religion, and guilt to address the question of blame. Although Santiago
