1518 Words7 Pages
Early next morning which was a Saturday, I was seated in a bus to Accra and I had occupied myself with my ear piece, listening to songs on my phone and watching video clips with much excitement in my heart yet some anxiety. He knew I was coming to see him and we had decided a walk on the beach. I knew it was going to be fun. As soon as I got to his school’s gate, I alighted and there he was! Right at the gate! Waiting like every man! I know men are born to wait so waiting isn’t a problem for them. I crossed the road to meet him and when I was finally with him, we all got confused of the first act to portray, whether it was a hug or just a handshake and we kept on smiling on this mistake. How interesting! He always called me “teacher”! But I hated that and I wished he could just call me by my first name only; I didn’t need any titles! I had packed my stuff for the beach. I didn’t know swimming and he had promised to teach me. When we got to the beach, I lay a mat on the sand and we sat on it for a while. I got tired of sitting and lay on the mat. As we kept talking about general things he also got tired of sitting I guess and he also lay down but I felt a hand across my tommy and I got scared. I took his hands away but he was so determined that he put it there again and told me “I really wish to marry madam” I smiled and asked him
“How old are you? Myron!”
“I am 20 but I am not a kid like you think!”
“And how old are you madam? If I may ask?” hahaha! You really wana know?
