It was two-o'clock in the afternoon, and I could not be more excited to meet my favorite characters in my favorite series. They’re called shadowhunters. They were designed to protect mundanes (humans), and rid the world of vicious creatures called demons. Jace is the arrogant, adorable warrior who has dedicated his life to his belief. Clary is the newbie with a violent family past, and a wonderful future in her new found love, Jace. Simon is also a newbie to this world. First he became a downworlder (vampires, werewolves, warlocks, and faires), but his vampirism was stripped in the final book of the incredible ending to the six book series, The Mortal Instruments. He now serves the Nephilim (shadowhunter race) as a shadowhunter. Isabelle and Alec are brother and sister, and their parents took Jace in when he was small. I told her how big a fan of them I am, and asked if she would please share my invitation to meet with the rest of her friends. She quickly got back to me and said they would enjoy meeting me. I invited them for hot drinks at my house.

Today was the day that they were coming, and I was ecstatic. I felt like I was about to explode little shreds of confetti each filled with happiness. I set the table with cakes, cookies, and a selection of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. I decided to dress in black since that is their usual ensemble.
I did not feel emotionally prepared for this experience. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I peeked through the window just to make sure that I knew the people I was about to let enter my house.
