The Battle of 2013 It had the intensity of a war, the feeling of a super bowl. Each team had their blood boiling because of this heated rivalry. This was everyday recess at country trails. In a football game that showcased the superiors against the goons. Even though teams were heavily mismatched, it was always a showcase to see which team can will their way to becoming victorious. Because each team wanted to have the role of top glory, the games were destined to get personal and chaotic. And on one day in the fifth grade, the grudge of the two teams reached a height that was unimaginable. Its unimaginability was as high as the mountains. But on that day a huge incident took place. It was as big as the eiffel tower. In this showdown it was third down. The quarterback (Jonathan) hiked the ball. The receiver (Joey aka me) was running faster than the wind. There was one person in the receiver’s way. That man was the cornerback (Steven). The ball would be thrown to Joey. He was about to catch the ball to score the touchdown. But someone grabbed his arm. Who grabbed his arm? Steven grabbed his arm. The ball hit the ground making a bang. Joey was not able to catch the ball because he had one arm. That caused the play to end in an incompletion. Joey was not to happy about this “incident”. So he approached Steven to talk about the call. And that's when the war broke out. Joey would yell at Steven complaining about how he cost him the play. Steven would rebuttal saying he did not cheat nor did he do nothing wrong. That though was not the correct thing. What happened next is not school appropriate. Let's just say words fifth graders should not be saying spilled out of their mouths. By now every member from every team had circled around arguing with each other. That is how serious recess football was taken at country trails. This
