It was dark outside, a peaceful night, one with no true moon. The artificial sky above, and the fake sense of surroundings were created to give a homely feel to a place that could easily be considered a form of hell. This was home to the survivors of world war five, the war that tore the world to pieces. The humans, if you can even call them that, lived in peaceful fear of the death that could await them around every corner. The technology that was left was seemingly useless, the electricity they managed to create was constantly going out. That was how three of the four regions lived. The Eastern, Western, and Southern regions were poverty. South, East and West being the worst of the four, South being a bit better off, and North could be considered the homes of nobles and royalty. You can't even enter the North without a special government permit.
The soldiers created to save the people from themselves, turned out worse, they took advantage of the weak and stole. They took some kids, mainly males, from their home at an early age to train them for army life. If they chose to leave at any point after they would be punished for ‘betrayal’. Rosie stood there, she looked scared. Accalia tilted her head and looked at her, not opening her mouth to even confront the girl. “I had a nightmare.” The small six year old girl squeaked, and looked away, waiting for the girl she thought of as a sister to speak to her for once in her life. “Sissy, why don’t you talk to me? You have never spoken one word to me.” She looked back up to see the older female was no longer looking at her, but now looking out the window, the crisp night air that turning her breath into puffs of smoke drifting into the sky.
