I had never seen a strategic response team up close, and I never wanted to, especially fifty feet from my house. I pressed my forehead against the privacy film on my home office window and watched two black vans and three police cars pull up in front of the house across the street. My heart stuttered, but my eyes froze in a ticking-time-bomb stare. More of the Colstons’ drama. Three men and a woman jumped from the first van in what looked like bulletproof vests.
