Personal Narrative-Fulfa Field

After hours of calling and not getting responses, I start to try different things. One of the different things includes importantly moving. Previous to hunting, I scouted a few large oak trees where I was sure that there would be plentiful toms eating acorns that have fallen from the trees, so I make my way to one of them. The location I settle at is a narrow field about 5 acres long and an acre or 2 wide, with another thin tree line separating a swamp and the alfalfa field I'm in. I quickly spot out a good broken off tree crown from an oak that would surely hide me from being spotted by a tom. I plant the two hen decoys and the tom decoy deep into the alfalfa field. Then off to the edge of the field about 100 yards away, I see a big fanned out tom. This is the best sight any turkey hunter can see, his wings are stretched down across his body almost to the point of touching the floor. Sadly he hasn't yet spotted the hens so he's gonna be extremely cautious while coming into my sight. One wrong move and he'll fly straight up and away about 300 yards and never return to the spot again. As I barely turn my head I can see he's strutting into my range with his head tucked into his saddle, his gobbles are low pitched but yet loud enough to hear about a half mile away. The gobbles continue to echo throughout the field until finally, he stops and inspects the decoys to every detail to see if there is anything wrong that he spots he will become uninterested. If he leaves he won't want to return to the drop zone for a long time and will be more aware when being hunted. As I'm looking at the tom I slowly move the call box up so I can do 2 quick hen chirps to make the decoys seem more
