Key. Session1.Journal In my young life, I have been through many experiences that have altered my path and my thinking in some fashion. There is one experience in particular that stands out the most. I was a 16-year-old student athlete with no real worries or responsibilities.
Blinded by the sunlight I still tried to withstand its power and held my glove out to catch the incoming pop fly. Before I knew it, the ball was directly in front of my face and hit me on top of my forehead. I cried, nevertheless I was still determined to stay in my third base spot that I earned. That was strike one. My first at bat was my best at bat.
Softball. My favorite sport. It’s not a contact sport so, the chances of me injuring another player are slim to none. Or so i thought….. I was in Traverse City last year with my team for a softball tournament.
“Softball has been noticed since 1887”. Ever since I was in t-ball, i’ve played ever since then because passionate about playing. I like softball because I get the time to play and bond with my teammates. My strong suits in softball are throwing and hitting because i can throw hard, and hit strong and it’s my passion to play major league softball. “softball is important in my life because i played ever since i was in Rag ball and t-ball “
"You can leave." Mrs. Godwin said to the now exited class. P.E. Class had just started, and the basketball team came in the gym to practice. They were making teams for lineball, when discovered they had an odd number of people. Coach Thrash asked if I could play with the red team, and I accepted his invitation.
First home run Crack! The ball flew off the bat and went as high as a bird in the sky. Aaron is a young 11 year old boy who loves playing baseball whenever he can. Every Time that he would step up to the plate he was always swing for the fence and dreamed about hitting the ball over and seeing all the fans cheer as he rounded the bases. All of times Aaron had played he never had home run but was always close sometimes hitting the wall just short of the ball going over it: but today that was about to change.
As long as I can remember I've been playing hockey. It all started when I was just a little girl I literally tried about every there is but, hockey was my one passion. Also, Hockey is a great way to stay active. I practice three days a week for an hour each practice. In addition, each weekend I have anywhere from one to five games.
I never thought that a trip to a soccer game could change my life drastically. Everything can change from one moment to the other and no individual sees it coming. My family’s plan was to go to our hometown’s championship soccer game. Needless to say we never made it there.
Have you ever set your house on fire? Although my house never was engulfed in flames, I did start a fire in my kitchen. Unfortunately for me, this event occurred on the first day of my sophomore year. School ended, and I immediately came home. Since I had a field hockey practice a few hours after school, I was obligated to eat my dinner earlier than I prefer.
Think Big Leagues When I play baseball with my friends I have lots of fun, but imagine what it would be like to play on a professional team. My parents dream for me is to be successful and happy, but I have had an interest in baseball since I was four years old. I remember waking up ready to go play a tournament in the fresh summer air. When I watch the games on T.V, Mike Trout always stood out to me.
Everyone 's at least broken a bone or injured themselves before right? Well this is one of those tragic stories where I unfortunately injured myself. It all started way back in the 5th grade and all my friends and family know I love & play the game of baseball. The baseball season for the little league I play for is about to begin in about 1-2 weeks.
For the last eight years, softball has shaped my life and taught me many things about leadership, sportsmanship, and how to work as a team. Softball has always made me happy, it’s not just the sport that makes me happy, but it’s the place that I get to go and the people that I get to play it with. Every time I’m on the field or in the cages I feel the most content. The softball field and cages are my sanctuary.
I was so over it. I went into her room and said, “Mom, I’m sorry for what I said the other day. I really love soccer. When is the tryout?” I could see a shift in my mom’s face.
My Experiences in Softball Crack! That was the sound echoing off my bat. Down the baseline I went running, turning first base looking to see where the ball was. Sliding into second base, I was safe. I stood up and heard the roar of the crowd.
When I was a child, I did not necessarily have a favorite toy as if to say, but there one thing in particular that I always used to liked playing with. That one thing was Basketball, A child’s favorite toy is usually something a child would bring around with them all the time and would cherish. That's exactly what I would do with my basketball. That leathery-bumpy skin of the ball in hands while I would dribble diligently down the street, was one of the greatest feelings I had as a child. The squeaking of shoes on the court and the swish of the ball in the hoop was probably the second best thing about basketball.
