Growing up through middle school years, I had conformed to settling for whatever grades I got and not really working hard. When the transition was made to high school, I truly learned how much work would have to been put in for to make average grades, much less above average ones. At the beginning,
I have been constantly dealing with struggles, from which I have learned. One of my biggest struggles, from which I have learned and am still learning, was the transition from middle school to high school. While this is a common struggle for almost all students, that doesn’t mean we should overlook it or write it off in our own lives. When I first began high school, I was filled with adrenaline, which fueled me and kept me on my toes enough to keep up with the workload. This "honeymoon phase" came to an end, and I started falling behind.
I 'm not a native of Pennsylvania. Anyone can tell that from my intense love of snow and fall, two things you couldn 't find in a South Florida city like where I lived, where temperatures were always high and foliage stayed the same year round. If you were born in Pennsylvania, you grew up hearing people tell stories of hitting a deer at night meanwhile I grew up hearing stories of people finding alligators in their backyard. Most people know what it 's like to move to a new place, whether it 's a new town, state or country, however, I feel my dramatic move along with the circumstances surrounding it are unique. It taught me that you can make the best out of even the worst situations.
Narrative: I moved to Kansas City, Kansas seven years ago. It all started when I was in 6th grade with these girls. I was a different race then them. They thought it would be cool to mess and try to get rid of the white girl. One day, they decided to try everything they possibly can to get me kicked out.
I feel that I possess the qualities of scholarship service leadership and character that makes me a good candidate. End School I struggled for many years with my ADHD. That has made it difficult for me to focus in school. But I have worked through it and I'm strong for that I've Sports from 5 p.m. to 8
Dealing with 6 classes, and my issues my school classes started to slip away from me. I
Making It Through High School While Becoming A Young Adult High school is a crazy place for most because everyone is not going to be popular, very athletic, or the smartest person in the classroom. Also regardless of how it looks outside looking in everyone will have a hard time in high school whether it 's an athlete trying to keep his or her grades up so they can play in the next game. Also, if it 's one of the smarter non athletic kids not making one of the sports teams because lack of athletic ability and the coach has his or her picks. Well, my first piece of advice is you can 't let everything people say get to you by being very stoic about situations.
When i started school i was acting up and never wanted to do any work or homework and my grandmother had to come to the school everyday. I never really cared about reading and writing because i wasn't really good at it, so i never really worked on reading and writing.
Throughout my elementary, middle and high school career, I have always thrived to do my best. I have remained in the top ten percent of my class throughout all twelve years spent in school. I have made many achievements, especially during my fours years in high school. I earned a grade 5, which is the highest attainable score, on both my Algebra 1 and Geometry End of Course exams, I was accepted into the National Honor Society for maintaining a high GPA and I was accepted into the National English Honor Society for maintaining a 4.0 GPA in English. While in high school, I also have obtained my Certified Medical Administrative Assistant certification, CPR certification, CPR instructor certification, Electrocardiogram certification and Emergency
Also, at this time I had not yet been diagnosed with ADHD. Both of these things combined made my freshman year worse than it should have been. As you can see from my transcript my grades increased exponentially from my freshman year to my sophomore year and so on. This was a result of moving on and learning that I am very bright, and also being put on mild medication to help me focus in class. Since I have been put on Concerta, an ADHD medication I have made a lot better grades and school has become a lot easier for me.
My transition into high school was marked not only by the changes of adolescence and the shift into teenage society, but also changing to a fully independent education and a school career based entirely on self-motivation and responsibility. Regardless of the challenges of providing my own education, I have kept my perseverance and accountability throughout high school and have strived to be the best I can be. As a result, I have kept outstanding grades due to discipline, effort, and conviction. Despite this determination to grow to my full potential through education and learning, certain skills fell by the wayside.
It is what made me so smart because I could work on multiple things at once. I had to try out different medicines and do lots of different types of testing to find the missing pieces. I went back to school and fished the year off and my teacher was in shock of how far Id come. I got A’s in all my classes that
Perseverance is an important trait needed to get through high school. During my freshman year, I struggled with Algebra 1. It was the only class I struggled with the first semester or the entire school year. When I found out I had a C in the class I was worried. Nevertheless, I was determined to finish the class with at least a B average.
In school, things can get pretty rough. There is a bunch of homework, tests, and lots of other things that can stress a student out. A student needs to find some sort of process that works for them. They need to be organized, so everything is laid out in front of them. Getting organized, and preparing yourself is a great way to get great grades in school.
I check my watch as I race to catch my first ever Austin Metro bus home. My metro bus ride to school in the morning proved disastrous. Taking the southbound rather than the northbound bus had left me confused while waiting for the return bus and embarrassed while explaining the reason for my late arrival to school. It 's 4:33. Oh man.
