Instead of withdrawing from the public stage, Angelina and Sarah went on to achieve more notoriety, in 1838, Angelina testified at a Committee of the Legislature of the State of Massachusetts, becoming the first American woman to testify in a legislative meeting. Later in 1838, at the age of 33, Angelina married abolitionist Theodore Dwight Weld, and they moved with Sarah to Fort Lee, New Jersey. Although both Angelina and Sarah wanted to continue giving speeches and attending meetings, the pressures of running a household, raising three children, poverty and health issues (Angelina had suffered a terrible breakdown after her third child), caused them retreat from public issues. They still continue to write and support the antislavery and women’s
Midlothian Middle School has been the place covering up hundreds of pieces of history these past hundreds of years. So much history that one could have a hard time memorizing all of it. There is one story though, one that stuck around. Always there, knocking on the back of your head asking to come into your mind like when someone knocks on your door asking to come in. The spot where Midlothian Middle school stands today sure has been a hotspot for some interesting history.
Many segregationists had told the school board that they were going to protest at Little Rock Central High School, and not allow the black students to enter the high school. Governor Orval Faubus supported the protestors and ordered the Arkansas National Guard to block off the children. On September 4, 1957, the soldiers stood in front of Little Rock Central High School, and blockaded the entire entrance. This made national headlines, and ultimately shocked the entire nation to its feet. With a furious crowd surrounding the nine students, Elizabeth Eckford said: They moved closer and closer. ...

Illiana Christian High School has been providing students with a Christ-centered education for a long time. In fact, students that currently attend Illiana have grandparents that also attended Illiana. Over time, Illiana Christian High School has changed in many ways. At the same time, Illiana has stayed the same throughout the years. Illiana’s building, classes, and dress code are very different from the early 70’s, but its discipline policies and after school activities are still very similar.
Many white women worked in Freedom Schools established by SNCC, because of the danger they would have faced working in the field. Freedom schools were originally established to teach African American high school students lessons in history and other subjects, because the education they received from public schools was not very good. They originally had a curriculum, but it was hard to follow. SNCC volunteers were not teachers and did not know about every topic. One staff member said to the volunteers, “You’ll meet on someone’s lawn under a tree.
In the spring of my freshman year, I was faced with something I had never faced before. I either had to choose my friends and spring break or basketball. I loved basketball, but at the same time, I realized that freshman year was the year to make a lot of friends. All I had heard in the past month was my friends talking about Spring Break. I knew that basketball would take place every single weekend until August 1st.
Next year I don’t want to procrastinate at all I want to get all my homework turned in on time with my best work. I want to have all A’s and maybe some B’s and a GPA no lower than 3.0. The most important thing I want to do is not judge teachers the ones that might look the coolest could total jerks and the ones who look really boring could be the best teacher I’ll ever meet. I hope in high school that I am a really good student and that the people in my grade actually start trying in school because I don’t want any more disappointed

I did not touch you is because you said you would send me an email after looking for my grades, but I always did not receive your message. You already said that you do not want to receive emails about changing the grade, so I think maybe meeting you directly would be better. Yeah, I know, my Aplia grade is not great since I forgot the last assignment and I had meetings on every Sunday night, and Clickers’ grade is not good too.
I step out of my Dad’s blue shiny Honda van as he says “good luck on your first day”. I force up a weak smile as I close the door and it made a whoosh noise as it closes. I look at the entrance for a good five minutes. I take a deep breath and slowly as a turtle, a zombie and snails. I thought to myself, a zombie and a snails.
For some kids, middle school is the most torturous time of their lives. For me, I learned a lot about myself. The song I chose to describe my 8th grade year is called “Whatever it Takes” by Imagine Dragons. This song describes my 8th grade year best because I interpret it mostly as talking about the importance being different than other people. I think this year is mostly when I realized the importance of not being like everyone and being completely myself.
Getting an education and moving forward to accomplish career goals in college is a big deal for most students. Being a student who gets grades like B’s and C’s and putting a lot of effort into improving the grade point average to get accepted into the college of choice and also preparing for the ACT can be stressful and tough. The student’s main focus should only be their grades and maintaining a high grade point

My plan for academic success is to pass all my classes with a C average. Another plan for academic success that I have is to choose classes that best fit my understandings and personality. Also I would like to get my license as a senior and have a job. Another academic plan for success is to have friends, friends are important to success because if I have no friends I’ll have no one to talk to while I’m working on school work. As well as the fact that I’m horrible at all my english classes, it might be a good idea to get those improved.
