Standardized Tests
Junior and senior year are stressful years in a student’s high school career. The final two years are filled with scholarship deadlines, job shadowing, community service, and keeping a good grade point average. On top of all of that, teachers and counselors stress the importance of achieving a high score on the ACT and SAT standardized test. If the ACT and SAT were to get removed from the requirements for University’s, then students will go above and beyond in their academic careers in high school in order to get accepted into a University.

Admissions faculty needs to pay attention to the student’s improvement within the years in high school. In order to have a good resume for college applications, students find community service volunteer work to do, are involved in school sports teams, and also job shadowing the career they wish to pursue in the future. With all of that involvement, maintaining a high grade point average is a must. It is tough to juggle academic expectations with the hopes of being accepted to the university of their choice. Getting an education and moving forward to accomplish career goals in college is a big deal for most students. Being a student who gets grades like B’s and C’s and putting a lot of effort into improving the grade point average to get accepted into the college of choice and also preparing for the ACT can be stressful and tough.
