Hello!
I have been thinking of you guys and your family throughout the years and have wanted to write you a letter, but I have always put it off. I want to thank you BOTH for everything that you guys did for me while I was growing up. You both took me into your family and treated me like I was part of your own family. You provided me with countless opportunities growing up and you instilled in me some very important morals that I might not have gotten elsewhere.
I don’t know if you want to know anything about me now that I have not been in your lives for quite some time; nevertheless, I will tell you some things because I feel as if I would be where I am today if it were not for you guys. First, I no longer live in Madison- or Indiana for that matter, though I come to visit our families yearly. I have been happily married for 15 years and we have a 15 year old daughter. She is one of the many reasons that I often think of you guys. I see my own family as you guys were for me growing up. I do a lot for her friends and take them in as our own and we provide them with some opportunities that they might not get elsewhere, just as you guys have done for me. To me, family is everything and my husband and I try our best to do the right thing with our own family.
