Ma Deeters
It was an early Saturday morning, when just Dad, Grandma, and I were awake. Dad and I were trying to figure out where to go on the four wheeler. There was little puddles everywhere. The yard still had really cold, wet, dew on the ground. The sun was coming up so bright we didn’t need any lights. Somewhere in the front yard a snorting deer came from nowhere. I could see it through the big front window. A big squirrel responded to the deer, and then a second squirrel joined. They sang out deer and squirrel for a short time. And when their voices faded away, it was as quiet as the woods. Next Dad asked me where I wanted to go today. I said “I don't care.” He said “Do you want to go to Ma Deeters?” “SURE” I said very excitedly. “ok,

The trail was a two tracker. We put our helmet on, gloves on, and off we went. Dad was leading because I didn't want to be in the front. Even though it looked like I was in the front because Dad was going so fast, but he always waited at a stop sign for me. Next we came to a Y trail, and there was a sign that said “7 miles Luzerne.” We stopped because I had to go to the bathroom. I got my helmet back on, and asked Dad how many more minutes because I was hungry. He said “About 20 more minutes.” Next he started to leave so I started up my four wheeler and followed him. Then we got to a trail where it was only about two minutes till the snowmobile trail. There was a mini river flowing down the hill. I wondered, should I try to go around it or just go through the middle. I decided to try to go around it. We got out to the snowmobile trail and there was only about five minutes left. We finally got there. When we got there we parked the fourwheelers and went in.
When we got in, we picked a table and a waitress came over and gave us menus. Dad was in the Bathroom when she came over and asked what we wanted to drink. I said “Sprite please.”
