The move back to Maryland was one of the biggest challenges in my life, everything was okay in Ohio until my step dad caused problems with me and my mom. It all started when my mom tried kicking my step dad out of the house for domestic violence. She kicked him out because not only has he fought with my mom, but he and I have fought a few times. Everything seemed fine at first until he kept bringing police officers to our house claiming almost all of our household items were his and he wanted to get them back. Of course the officers eventually weren’t allowing him to keep coming back to bug us about it and told him to go to the court and take the problem to a civil court judge.
After 11 years in Louisville, Scott and I have made our move back home to Indiana to be closer to our family. We will miss all of our friends in Kentucky more than we can tell you...too many to list here, but you all know who you are. It was a difficult and emotional decision to make but we are excited to be home. I will go to work at IU Health in the morning and Scott is still remotely working for Honeywell, supporting Boeing. We have certainly been reminded that life is short and priorities change and nothing is more important than family.
I thought about writing this long and exaggerated speech about me leaving Maryland but I think I 'll just keep it short and sweet. These past few months people constantly asked me why I wanted to move somewhere I do not know anyone. My response, I know Jesus! No matter where I go I have a friend that is watching over and protecting me. This is a picture of my closet door, in my apartment, at Morgan.
Change is something the whole world goes through at one point or another in their lives, but what’s vital is what we chose to do with that change. It was the summer of 2005, the weather outside was as heavy as an anvil, nevertheless this was the norm in south Florida. My childhood was one to reminisce. Life was perfect, but that all altered when my parents said we were moving to Atlanta Georgia. Things weren’t as easy as I thought they would be, but my biggest reason was my school
Verbal Irony is when words are expressed contrary to the truth or someone says the opposite of what they really mean, in other words or to sum it up Verbal irony is sarcasm. Peck uses Verbal Irony commonly in the short story, for example he states,”Then quicker than the eye, she brings the side of her enormous hand down in a chop that breaks the Kobra’s hold on Melvin’s throat…... You could hear a pin drop in that hallway(peck 14)”. This shows that peck used Verbal Irony to express how quiet it was in the hallway.
When my husband, Joe and I had to short-sale our home it gave us an opportunity to re-evaluate our life goals. Packing to move brought many discoveries of forgotten ideas and plans that we put on hold to raise our three daughters. We had been married for seventeen years and were curious about moving out of California. We had always talked about moving to Oregon so I got started on the research.
When I was 14 I had to move to San Clemente, California. I had already recently moved temporarily to Texas while a house was made ready for us on the military base. “The house is ready!” my mother had said excitedly, after being on the phone for a few minutes. “It’s time to go back?”
Coming to America with my parents when I was about 11 years old was a new adventure for me. There were a lot of changes that needed to be made and experiencing new things. I would have to make some adjustment and getting used to the American culture and learning the language they speak. My parents had made a big sacrifice coming to America. Living their home country just so my siblings and I could get a better education and better life.
I was going to be starting a new life, experiencing new things, and my dad wasn 't going to be a part of it. I remember the ending of that night like it was yesterday. My mom, my sister, and I were ready to go, but my dad told us to wait as he went back into the house. He came back out with a blanket that his mother had given before she passed. My dad handed

The first eight years of my life, I spent in India where I was born. Growing up I was constantly reminded by my parents that I needed to make them proud by getting a good job and living a good lifestyle. They told me this because they did not want to see me live a hard life like they did. When I was nine years old, I moved from India to the United States of America. The reason why I moved to America was not because I was living a bad life in India, it was so that I could have a better education and more opportunities in life.
As a teenager moving to a new country with a different culture, different language, and being thousands of miles away from everyone I grew up with was not an easy change, however, that was precisely what I did in January of 2013 when I came to the United States with my father. My whole world changed since, and shaped my way of thinking. From learning English, adjusting to a new culture, experiencing my first snow and finding my way in my new country, my life has been an exciting adventure. My parents brought me to America almost 5 years ago to have a better life, and to get a better education.
Interesting relationship between my family and America. This is really interesting, out of all of our relative we were the first to come to America, and what’s more interesting is that we are the only family out of our relatives that remain in America! Before our trip, one of my sister was separated from my family because she got married so she can’t go to America with us anymore, she had to go with her husband to Holland, and so my family and my sister were waiting for our date to come, so that we could start our journey. My family date came first so we were off to the airport, while at the airport the next day, surprisingly we saw my sister and she saw us, we were surprise as to how she got there, so she explain and etc.. Our first air plane
Have you ever moved houses? What about cities? Or states? Moving for many people is normal and doesn 't affect them whether they move to a different neighborhood or to a city far away. Some enjoy experiencing new places and new people, basically starting a new life.
It all started on a summer day, I went to nags head beach with my family. We got a big beach house with my whole family and a few friends. This was about 4 years but it feels like it was just the other day. We went at the very end of the summer. It was still nice and warm outside.
