Personal Narrative: My Arthur's Incident

Before I start to talk about my incident and how it began and what resulted of it, I’m going to clear up who was involved, and that would be my Arthur and myself, and the guy who caused it (not going to name is his name). A little background about Arthur; he was born and raised in Philadelphia, not the good parts of it, the ghetto part (well that’s he referred to it as). Arthur was a saint, he went to church every Sunday and was completely against drugs and alcohol. He moved to Sarnia when he was 13 with his parents and we instantly became best friends the first day I met him because we both liked the show Friday Night Lights. Arthur stayed calm at first and told him that this was just for a school project and before he could even finish the guy interrupted and said “You know you shouldn’t even be giving out free food anyways, there’s probably drugs in them knowing you”. This is where the situation began to go bad, because the guy assumed that because Arthur was black there must be drugs in it. The assumption that he made was just so stereotypical, and showed how little his mind thinks. After hearing that, I quickly went over to Arthur hoping he didn’t begin to start swearing and throwing shade back at the guy because he hates it when people throw racial slurs at him and it the past when people have, it resulted in fights. But he stayed calm and when I got over there he was saying exactly what I explained above, that just because he’s black you can’t make a false assumption of him putting drugs in the food and I also backed him up saying the same thing and the argument went on for about five minutes where the guy kept insulting Arthur and continued being racist by saying stereotypes about black people. It all happened so fast that I can’t remember exactly what insults he said, but when he realized that he was in the wrong he simply said “I can say what I
