Personal Narrative: My First Day In Las Vegas

It was the last day of school. Everyone was excited for the summer to begin and the parties to start. You could smell the hot summer heat and the blacktop burn. I had just gotten off of school and was headed home when i got a phone call. My mother had asked me”are you ready for the summer son, we are taking a road trip across country”. I was shocked but was still very eager to go across the country for the first time. So i rushed home and packed my bags. My memories of the trip started as we had already loaded the car and pulled up to a gas station. I could smell the gas in the air and was very excited for the trip ahead. We went to the Circus Circus hotel to watch the cirque de soleil perform in front of us. As we walked into the Arena There were a bunch of bright lights and you couldn't see much When we finally managed to get our seats the show was starting. “drumroll please” said the announcer over the loudspeaker, “ ladies and gentlemen get ready for the amazing elephant”. Out of a side door came a huge elephant who had an array of impressive tricks. He was doing twists and turns while balancing a ball on his trunk. I was thinking “ wow how could this show get any better’, when out of nowhere. BOOM! a cannon fires off and a flaming man is sent soaring across the arena, only to be caught by a trapeze artist. ‘How is that even possible” i kept saying to myself. When all of a sudden the light was on me and my chair was called. I didn't even believe that i was picked because i thought the odds would not be that high. Nervous i walked up to the front of the stage as a security opened a little side door for me. “ welcome to the stage what's your name son’, said the announcer standing next to me. He was wearing a clown suit. He had purple hair and a red nose. As well as a tiny clown car. He told me that there was a game i had to play, the objective of the game was to catch money in a money machine as the money was flying everywhere. I had 30 seconds. Go! i took off, Money was flying everywhere all in my face and under my clothes. I was so excited I could barely grab it. I ended up coming out of the tunnel with 100 dollars. Since we were in Las Vegas and I was not 18 i decided to give the money to my mom to go gamble. Excited that she would win some money i had left the circus show and we were off to the casino. In the Casino i could not stay so i decided to take a trip around the area to see what else it had to offer. I found many things like Dancing elvis, crazy spider man, and the hulk.
