My topic was the Paiute Indians, they lived in the southwestern Great Basin region. Paiute men went hunting out for food in groups. The Paiutes raised their own fruits and vegetables. Paiute groups got together in autumn for marriages and dances. They lived in the Great Basin region.
If given the choice in my opinion, the New England region would be the best choice to settle. The Chesapeake Bay and the New England colonies are much unlike in many ways. First, each
In the article entitled, "Scenes from a Life in NegroLand", Margo Jefferson depicts to reads the struggles and inequalities negros were faced with. She faces readers with different struggles and inequalities one family was faced with. This particular negro family had a family member who was a very good doctor. I have lived in two distinct communities: the first was the small town of Moraga in the East Bay area of California, the second, and my current residence, is the city of Stockton. The former, Moraga is the epitome of white picket fence suburbia, with friendly neighbors, a high ranking public school system, and a practically non-existent crime rate. Growing up in Moraga, I was able to receive a great education, roam the streets freely with friends, and never had to fear horrors, such as, gang violence, sporadic neighborhood shootings, or drug abuse. Sadly, when I moved to the latter, most of these horrors were apparent weekly, if not daily.
Growing up, I never believed I had an identity. When I delve back to my earliest of memories, both English and Spanish made an appearance in my dialogue. Because my life had always remained constrained in a blend of American and Mexican culture, it was difficult to distinguish exactly which group I resonated most with. Here in the Rio Grande Valley, it is an internal war that is fought constantly. Whoever could predominantly show their Mexican heritage would be held at a great regard for not neglecting their roots.
After reviewing the reading, it’s very clear that the southern colonies would be the best place to settle. I would become a farmer because of the business of it. To be more exact I would live in Virginia even though Carolina happen to be more smart when it came to basically everything else than any other colonie. Most importantly why I would chose to be here is because they had access to the cash crops of the time, Tobacco. It allowed the lowest of society to become something and to become very wealthy.
If my Native American tribe was to choose a side between the French and the English, I would pick the French. Firstly, the French have a small population in America. Therefore, they aren 't as demanding for certain supplies since there is less of them. That will leave more supplies for the Native Americans. Also, this means that they won 't take up as much land in America as the English do.
The Middle region would have been the best area to reside in during colonial times. In my opinion, the Middle region would have been the great place to live in because it had great soil to farm. Middle region soil gave the opportunity for farming, thus no matter what one 's economic status was they could grow their own food. In addition, the middle region had religious tolerance, thus, one could practice their own religion without fearing for one 's life. Southern Colonies would be my least preferred region to live because of slavery.
In conclusion I would like to live in the the South because it has very nice weather. The south made lots of great economy. But why do I want to live there?Because their would be many argiculture which means many mor tradeing and cash crops. Since the South has many cotton and rivers to trade therefore. You can trade and sell crops for a living of a family.
“What if I cough and they all die?” Margo asked. We all stopped to consider the question, it seemed silly, but in the thousands of years since the stone age humans had adapted to tons of diseases. What if they coughed and killed all of us? I looked around at the foliage surrounding us and wondered how many of the seemingly beautiful plants could kill us. Most of the trees were foreign one resembled an apple tree, but fruit had to have evolved also.
Many people would want to live in places where there are many of the Natural resources that they need to
Being a European settler trying to make for a better life for my family, I would choose to settle on the Great Plains. The Great Plains would be my choice to settle because I could buy a lot of land for little to nothing. Of course there would be difficulties that came with the inexpensive price of land, such as that of the land being extremely dry and flat which isn’t of course the best for farming. As well, we wouldn’t able to get our hands on a decent amount of wood to build our homes out of; therefore our homes were built out of soil that was held together by grass. When it would rain, the dugouts would flood; we had to fill up buckets or water of water and strode around in the mud until the water dried out.
As a person goes through life he or she may wonder “Who am I?” and “What is my purpose?” The objective of this paper is to allow me to reflect and critically analyze who I am as a person. In this paper, I will discuss my social location and identity, my life experiences and my privileges and disadvantages.
My father, Chingachgook, my brother, Uncas, and I were visiting our friends on the Frontier. Life on the frontier was hard, and days were constantly filled with fear and hard work. People living on the frontier grew their own food, and lived in log cabins. The French and the Indians constantly would attack because they wanted everyone to fear them. While we were on the frontier, we learned that John, the father of the frontier families, did not want to volunteer in the war because he feared Indians would attack his family.
