My thematic pathway consists of three classes: Introduction to Music, Introduction to Sociology, and Digital System. The first two classes were taken in John Jay College and the last one was taken in my first semester at Buffalo University. These classes come together to qualify my global pathway under the topic of Design and the Build Environment. Nevertheless, I am still not sure how they assimilated into this topic to develop our critical thinking skill and analytical skill to approaches the problem solving as how it descripted on the website. Furthermore, it really gives me a tough time to make these classes echoed each other.
FOUR THNGS I’D DO THE SAME Turnabout is fair play, especially when I’m involved. My previous post cited “Four Things I’d Do Differently” as I looked back over the decades of my life.
It is a beautiful moment when you have complete clarity of what you want to be when you grow up. I have always had an interest in pregnancy and infants. I was always watching birthing shows on tv when I was a young but I never really thought anything of it. Until I was about 16 I had no idea what I was going to be and then it hit me.
As I was reading chapter 4 of the book I can relate to the journey that most deaf people go through with self-actualization. Although I am part of the majority of the world that hears I am also a part of the minority of people that are of African decent living in America I too is on a journey of self-actualization in life. Most of the self-actualization stages that the book talks about currently I am going through what the book calls resistance and immersion where individuals from disenfranchised groups become determined to learn more about their cultural identity” pg 75. I can relate to a deaf person wanting to reject anything that relates to the hearing culture and surround themselves with deaf people and deaf culture. Even thought I was born here in the United States of America I don’t feel
a year ago, I was in high school working towards accomplishing my long-term goal of graduating high school with honors and a maintaining a high GPA. After years of striving for my goals I graduated top of my class, was accepted to the colleges I applied, and I was awarded with a few scholarships that helped me pay for all my college tuition. Going into my freshmen year of college I felt proud that I honor the chance to continue my education because no one in my family had ever attended college. As time was approaching for me to begin my journey as a freshmen, it was time to begin the next goals. The most important long term goal for me was to pass all my classes with an A

“A person lives in the present allowing time to only move forward. Don’t allow your regrets to take over, move forward and learn from past mistakes. Learn and do things that you won’t regret. Don’t make mistakes like one class did in the past, don’t repeat their story. ”A quote taken from a personal narrative I wrote when I was 15 about my third grade class.
In the spring 2015 semester I decided to sign up for the career action certificate. When I first joined I never thought I would learn so much. I learned so much about my career and about myself. In the Who I Am?
The Pillars of Success can be meant in many ways to many different kinds of people, but to an individual, such as me who is in currently, a junior in High School is meant through respect, responsibility, leadership, and friendship. These 4 simple words are the pillars of success to become a successful person when graduating high school. As a high schooler, being respectful to not only to one’s peers, but also one’s teachers, janitors, parents, principal or band director is essential not only in high school but in life in general. In my perspective being respectful to everyone around one regardless of authority is more important than any grade one scores on a test or assignment because scoring a number cannot withstand the way one makes their peers feel. Responsibility is another important pillar for countless high schoolers like me because high school is the time when we make decisions that will affect us for a long time to come and it is
The way through the challenge is to get still and ask yourself what is the next right move, not think about what is the next right move and then from that space make the next right move and the next right move, and not to be overwhelmed by it because you know your life is bigger than that one moment you know you're not defined by what somebody says is a failure for you because failure is just there to point you in a different direction. Nothing about my life is lucky, nothing. Lot of grace, a lot of blessings, a lot of divine order, but I don’t believe in luck. For me, luck is preparation meeting the moment of opportunity. There is no luck without you being prepared to handle that moment of opportunity, and so what I would say for myself is that because of my hand in hand and a force greater than my own, I have been prepared in ways that I didn't even know I was being prepared for, and the truth is for me and for every person, every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for the moment that is to come.
A sense of accomplishment is invaluable to a person. Not only does a sense of accomplishment build confidence and faith in oneself, but it also allows one to reflect on how wonderful the journey to the accomplishment was, and how every little struggle and triumph was worth it. In the middle of summer, where time seems endless and the stress of the previous school year has been shed by students, I never expected to find out that I scored a five on both of the advanced placement exams I took. Nor did I have one-hundred percent confidence the goals we set as section leaders of the marching band would actually be met. Yet to my surprise, I had the good fortune of accomplishing challenging things in both aspects of my life.
The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. I say this because I 've experienced it myself. About 3 years ago I wanted to play the guitar. I went to my mom and asked her if she could buy me one because I really wanted to play. The next morning my mom went to the store and got me a guitar.

From the time we are born there will be mistakes in our lives and never take responsibility for the, but the only way we can learn from them is to take responsibility.
