It was a inning ending double play. I was starting to feel that we could do this and that we could actually win this game. But we knew it would be difficult without any of our good pitchers being available to pitch. It was the final inning of the game we had our best pitcher on the team out to throw the last inning. We all thought this was going to be an easy win from hear.
A cultural artifact would be the prized rubber ducky from the Spirt Splash event. The characteristics of this yellow bath toy was that it resembled the looks of a typical hippie, by having a peace sign necklace, hippie glasses, long hair, a rainbow bandana, and a blue cloth around its neck. The cultural significance that this object has is that it symbolizes the annual pastime UCF has as a whole community, by gathering around together at the Reflection Pond. For some people, the rubber ducks have sentimental value, while others have spawned a market for selling the ducks at atrocious prices, selling up to 50 times its actual cost.
I have been doing some thinking about our conversation a few days ago and have concluded that I will take you up on the offer! I just sold my old bike and now have some money left over that I can use to pay for those seminars. I am going to see how soon I can get this done, I am going to look at the dates and send my form in. I will keep you posted on the status of things as they get processed.
As I pound my bat against home plate I get ready for the perfect ball to come. Then it came, the perfect ball, could not have curved any better, I smacked it with my bat, It was out of the park! It could have been the last game of the season for the Braves Major league Baseball, we were the best, the champions, then the A’s put up a fight but they will not end it now. The A’s got the whole Braves team nervous, so we practiced for every day for the next two weeks preparing for game, then half way through two weeks of training the Braves were stronger, prepared, and twice as good as the used to be, they boosted their self esteem double their regular.

Captain America has always been a symbol of American rebellion and freedom since his conception in the original comic books. This theme is still alive today in this modern adaptation of his story in the 2016 film when he refuses to sign the Sokovia Accords (peace treaty agreement), a legal document that gives the United Nations control over the Avengers, even if it means fighting his friends. The outfield can be a difficult position to coach, especially at the Little League level. Many times, Little League Coaches simply throw players out into the grassy areas of the diamond and spend a significant amount of time launching fly balls in their direction. Once players get older and skill sets become more refined, the outfield can be a challenging position to play. A key to a young outfielders success will be to give them the tools and experience at an early age. 5 Key Outfielding Skills Playing the outfield can be broken down into five unique scenarios.
I gave it my all and pitched like there was no tomorrow. As we were nearing the end of the game the score was close, but we were ahead by one point. It had just become and even more intense that it already was. Every single person was on the edge of their seat waiting to see who would win it all. My team was up to bat
One warm august night my sister Ellie and I watched the film Into the Wild. The story of Chris McCandless reconnecting with nature and going out on his own was profound to me. My mom was an avid hiker when she was younger and even climbed Mount Olympus, but as she’s gotten older and kids and life have taken over hiking hasn’t been much of priority. After the movie ended I told her I wanted to go on a short backpacking trip by myself before I had to go back to school and immediately my ten year old sister wanted to come with me. I agreed and we spent the next twenty four hours planning, packing and figuring out exactly where we were going.
I glanced to see Hez not catching the ball and letting it fall down the hill. I slow down looking at Zach and his reaction to me crossing third base running to home. At the same time, Hez gets the ball back from the hill and passes to Zach for him to try to get me. Hez threw the ball just a bit higher than the height Zach can jump to get the ball and throw it at me. I make it to home base and was cheered by my team.
It’s 5-4., bases loaded, 2 strikes and 2 outs!”. I knew that I needed a good hit on this pitch. If I didn't hit this ball, my team would lose our last game. As I watch the ball fly out of the pitcher's hand, I was instantly mesmerized. Before I even thought to swing the bat, the ball was already past home plate.
My artifact is a fox pinch pot. It was handmade by me. Choosing colors, it ended up orange and black. My pinch pot is important because it was something I made. Every pinch made, took valuable time and endless effort.
Movement among pitches is what makes baseball a challenging game for the hitter. Without these off-speed pitches, scores would be a lot higher, and games would last a lot longer. Most people know what curveballs and changeups are, but what causes them to move? Off-speed pitches are thrown to disorient the timing of the batter’s swing so that they do not hit it as hard. An off-speed pitch is any pitch that is thrown slower than a fastball.
Our catcher called a pitch that she knew the batter could not refuse, when she missed, the runner on second attempted to steal. The catcher threw the ball to me, our third baseman for our last out of the game. In that moment, nothing else mattered. We won!
"Sometimes we need someone to simply be there. Not to fix anything, or to do anything in particular, but just to let us feel that we are cared for and supported." I wish that I had that "someone." I'm always that person for someone else, but when it comes to me, where are those people that I need to show me that I am cared for and supported?
I want her to come back. I miss her more than anything. I get that dad is trying to do his best; I mean, what is he supposed to do after something like this has happened? I got to school, seeing the old rusty sign that says “Bronx’s Middle School”. That sign is where my old friend group would meet every morning, but now it’s just a rusty old sign for me.
