1. As a young Fire Control Technician Third Class (FT3), I served under Fire Control Technician Chief (FTC) Chuck Thompson. Strong and proud, he stood like a massive oak tree in every room he entered; his mere presence demanded respect.
The Army has been at war since September 11th, 2001. I learned a very harsh and cold lesson in the fall of 2003. The vast majority of the civilian populace in the countries in which we operate are good people. Unfortunately we find ourselves in situations where good people must die. It is an unfortunate recourse of warfare.
For this assignment, I interviewed my mother Elaine Meskouris. Director at Evlavia Doulavarous Preschool in Flushing, NY. 1. Me: So Mrs. Meskouris, why did you become a preschool director?
Lauren Brooksby is Resident Assistant for 2nd floor New Heritage building 29. Not only is she a beautiful person inside out but she is also a great RA- someone that us residents greatly respect and love.
Lani: I was helping for someone’s project for COMM 245; I was in the video lab, in the studio. I was on campus and decided to contact everyone I knew who comes to the school. I remember I sent out a snap saying guys I think there is a shooting, be careful and then I started sending out individual texts to people making sure they were okay, like hey are you good? Stay out of an area.
It has been twenty years in the making to create myself. I started out sheltered. So to say, hidden from the real world. Being born and raised it out it the middle of a corn field was rough, but not what you would consider rough. It was all about take it or leave, or fix it or do without.
It is very important to provide feedback to the learners now and then during their learning process. Swann (2002) states that a good clinical instructor is the one who demonstrates an ability to provide feedback to the learners related to their skill performance and behaviors. Various roles of the clinical instructor should be multifaceted and include various responsibilities such as facilitating, supervising, coaching, guiding, consulting, teaching, evaluating, counseling, advising, career planning, role modeling, mentoring, and socializing (Jensen & Mostrom, 2013). Providing frequent feedback to students during their clinical practice by the clinical instructor is more recognized as an important part of undergraduate and graduate health sciences
Final Journal – Winter Semester Alvan Le I feel as if just yesterday I was starting my first day in Drama 300. I was nervous, and scared about what would happen in the class. Nevertheless, I’m glad I took this class. The amount I have grown as an actor over the year is more that I could have imagined!
Individual reflection and assessment is a vital component for growing as a writer. By analyzing my own strengths and weaknesses, I can further develop the steps I should take in order to grow as a writer. Through completion of the varying assignments in English class this semester, I have a heightened perception of areas that I am strong along with areas that I need to improve. The powerful guidance of those who I sought help from in my journey to improve my writing made a positive lasting impact on my academic future. Through becoming aware of my strengths and weaknesses, endeavoring into a variety of writing styles, and implementing both what I have learned along with what I still need to improve on, I have gained skill that can elevate me to new realms of academic accomplishment.
At the beginning of my sophomore year, August 2015, I fractured my left ankle. My second season of cross country had just begun. The whole team had a Saturday practice at Atlanta Memorial Park. We came to this park for a time trial. Not being able to run was going to be a challenge for me.
My history as a writer has been a bit of a struggle of slow development. From a young age I had a hard time with spelling and this is still a trouble area for me, even with the help of autocorrect. As I grew in age and as a writer my problematic area became not including enough nitty gritty details. My bad experiences that I recall would always involve the start of writing because I struggle with beginning paragraphs. Also, I tend to use the ending paragraph to just repeat myself, so overall my first and last paragraphs are usually shit.
Have you ever tried acting? It is a very hard thing to do but I love it. I started acting when I was seven years old. From the on acting became one of my favorite hobbies and a passion of mine.
In junior high school period, I was chosen as a leader of the drama club in our school. In the beginning, I joined the drama club because of my curiosity and some interest in acting. However, the more practices I did, the more love and passion I found in drama. We have done many shows during the lesson of drama expression, I extremely enjoy doing stage performance, but I prefer to work behind the screen, such as screenwriting or drama directing. Joined the drama club brings my dream more possibilities, I’ve also found out my interest in acting even in film and television.
By working with these children in a drama environment, rather than a school environment, I believe that I’ve developed a different sense of understanding as to what life is like for these children and teenagers and how it is different to my own experiences at that age. I also learned that after school drama classes are a safe space for young people, and they are are place for the students to come and freely talk about their daily life, any problems as well as things their personal achievements. I found that this was quite healthy for the students, as they seemed to be a lot more relaxed and expressive and therefore more confident. I believe through this kind of environment I was able to discover a perfect balance between teacher and friend. At the start of the experience I was quite shy and low on energy from university and also my personal life, but I found that quite quickly I was able to overcome that and work confidently with the group as a facilitator.
What is acting? Acting is where one person takes in the role, behavior, attitudes, and other traits of another person or character in a script for either a film or play. With an acting major you will spend a lot of time working on your body and the way you move on stage. In most acting majors you will have six main classes that you must take to graduate. You will have to have a class for acting, voice for actors, movement, improvisation, theatre history, and maybe an actor coaching class depending on what college you go to.
