Personal Narrative: My Trip To The Disney World

My heart began to race as I stepped out of the bus and onto the red pavement. My 18-year-old mind could not completely believe what it was seeing. The glistening clear water with boats filled with eager and impatient people, the tracks up above carrying a sparkly clean, white monorail filled with happy kids, the pavement squares filled with inscriptions and memories that could last a lifetime. My crystal blue eyes knew we were at my favorite place in the world once we got to the well known building with a lawn in front of it that had flowers shaped to mimic a very well known mouse. My mom and I scanned our wristbands at the check-in and walked into the Magic Kingdom and right in front of our eyes was the magnificent Cinderella’s castle. After years of waiting, we were finally going to go back to our favorite place, Disney World and now that the time was now, my heart was filled with joy. My short legs walked around the Magic Kingdom remembering where everything was as if nothing had changed in 4 years. We took in the wonderful scent of vanilla and fried food as we adventured around what seems like my second home. It felt like a trip down memory lane as we walked to the attraction we always do first, the Buzz Lightyear shooting game. Once we finished the ride, we went on with our day looking at all the new attractions added since the last time we had been there, such as the impressive Ariel’s new grotto/palace and also the Beast’s castle in the new Fantasyland.
