On Friday, October 2nd, I visited the Wittliff art collection at Texas State University. I was very excited at how much art I was going to see as I made my way to the 7th floor of the Alkek Library, which is where the Wittliff art collection is located in. Sadly, with all of the artwork that was displayed, I was having trouble deciding on which art pieces to write this critique on. However, two certain 2-D pieces caught my eye. Out of all of the displays in the art collection, I ended up choosing Keith Carter’s photograph and Kate Breakey’s painted photograph.
Response paper #1 Recently I took a tour of the James E. Lewis Museum of art located in Baltimore, MD. This museum is a part of Morgan State University fine arts building. As I walked into the museum I notice the beautiful entrance that consist of sculptures of very important people in history. In addition I was amazed by the infrastructure of the museum and the setup of the lighting in the museum.
It has outstanding exhibits on the native and post-Columbian history of the state. It begins with the Native American Tribes. It explains the life of a Native American surviving cold, harsh winter and hot humid summers. There are hand on activities including sailing a ship, and walking into a teepee to understand how one lives. Then it leads to the State’s history going into today’s century.

At the Morris Museum of art is home to a wide-ranging and permanent collection of works of art dating from the early eighteenth century to the present. It also presents special exhibits of a rich variety of art celebrating the culture of the South. I took several photos of my favorite paintings and sucplters. My daughter and I had a lot of fun we went on a free tour and learned a lot about the paitning at the museum and even played a scavenger hunt game. “wow!” I thought as I stood amazed trying to analyze the significance through each piece of art. Art has always been a form of expression. Although art has been seen as a way of freedom of speech; it did not begin to show up until the 1960’s when their art made by minorities started to be appreciated. The sun beat down on me with intently when I stepped out onto the sidewalk. Quickly I found shelter from the heat on a nearby bench surrounded by shade. However before I took a seat I removed my Desmond Merrion suit jacket, took off the silk Ralph Lauren’s Black label necktie and stuffed it into the pocked of the suit jacket. I unbuttoned the top two buttons of my Charles Tyrwhitt shirt and then did a neat three flip roll of the sleeves. And without given it to much thought I removed my Rolex and placed it into my pants pocket.
Visiting museums is always fun for many people, especially when you are a little kid. You get to see all kinds of different historical works done by the people from the past and present. I recently haven’t been to any museums since I was little, until I got to visit one for this course. For this Action Research Project Paper, I visited Dallas Freedman’s Memorial located in Dallas, Texas. Dallas Freedman’s Memorial is one of the most beautiful museums and quite depressing at the same time.
Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
The Orlando Museum of Art, also known as OMA, is a hub of Central Florida when it comes to pulling in remarkable works of art for the public eye to pay patronage to. Today I visited such a place for the annual Antiques Vintage and Garden Show, which took place between February 19th through the 21st. Included in the price of a ticket was also admission to The OMA’s current exhibitions, which included Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers and their other running exhibits, which contained an array of work, ranging from Pre-Columbian sculptures to more contemporary works of the 21st century. The specific exhibit which held my interest most was the Pre-Columbian, Mesoamerican gallery titled “A Trek from North to South”, which was organized by geographic locations in Latin America. I was born in Richland, Washington, but I have no memories of living there because my family moved here, to Utah, when I was two. The majority of my family, from both my mother’s and my father’s side, live in the northwest.
When I was in the 2nd grade i went on the most intresting field trip. I was surprised that my parents paid a lot of money just so i can go to the Lincoln Memorial. I can not expressed how i was feeling at that age, i was so happy. I took my bestfriend Jack, he did not have to pay a single penny. Our school was on fall break so that is when we went so i spent my whole break with my best buddy.

I visited the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) for my museum assignment. I went on a weekend decided to use the opportunity of going to the museum as a fun date with my girlfriend. Initially, I was not expecting much out of the trip, I thought it was going to be boring just walking around and looking at art, which is part of the reason I did not go alone. Once, I was there my thoughts changed, as seeing some of these amazing works in person was far from the same experience as just seeing pictures of them, I am not an art person, but it was definitely cool to see. The painting I chose to write on is "Cold Shoulder" which was painted my Roy Lichtenstein in 1963.
