New Dog Troubles Our mom was gone. Nobody but me and my brother, Matt. It was the perfect time to do it. So we did. We were collaborating to bring our new dog, Buddy, into the living room which our mom had specifically told us not to do the day we had received Buddy. We also prayed to God that she did not return home early or we would be grounded for life. She says she does not like the fur Buddy sheds when he is brought into the living room, although honestly, I just think she hates dogs in general. Buddy’s hair was the one part of him she hated in our house and wanted it to be kept either outside the house or in our sunroom, where she never goes. My brothers face stood still. I could see the redness start to crawl all over his cheeks. My mouth stood still, dry as a bone. Nothing to say. “I’m afraid not” my brother finally spoke, “but we will try something.” The fans did not help this time. I was sweating profusely to the point where I saw drops of water splash on the ground and I could not tell whether it was tears or my sweat. Nevertheless, I stuck with whatever my brother told me. “Okay, grab me a wet towel and help me clean this up” my brother said. “I cannot stand the smell of that putrid smelling pee” I told my brother. “It’s either that or we are grounded for life Josh. Now help me”. I had no choice. We both fell to our knees and started scrubbing the nasty pee stained floor that was clean not too long ago. But there was no use. The stain was not coming out.
