We have a new student here with us today named Mikey. Can all of you be nice to him and make him feel welcome?” The student reply with; “Yes Ms. Bird.” Page 13… My teacher, Mrs. Tweety tells me to sit next to a student named Jennifer.
In summary, on 09/21/15 at 0418 hours I was patrolling the area of 1600 S. Laramie Ave., at which time I observed a male subject with a youthful appearance walking northbound 16th Street. I made contact with the subject, at which time he identified himself as (Rosas, Alexis DOB 04/21/97). While speaking with Rosas, I detected a strong odor of fresh cannabis emanating from his person. Rosas related he had some cannabis in his sweater pocket. I recovered a silver box containing a green leafy substance from Rosas ' right sweater pocket.
In the short story “Gryphon”, by Charles Baxter, Ms. Ferenczi’s presence in the classroom is beneficial to the students of Five Oaks since she has led the students to be disciplined, discuss amongst each other, and question/research information. To start things off, Ms. Ferenczi has taught the kids to become disciplined in class. In the beginning in the story, the class mocks and picks on Mr. Hibler behind his back, while he is sick. Later on in the story, Ms. Ferenczi’s is introduced to the classroom, and nobody tries to joke around or pick on her. For example, “There was not a sound in the classroom, except for Miss Ferenczi’s voice…
Every year, my family goes on a snowmobile trip with my friend Aftyn’s family in Spearfish, South Dakota. About two years ago, we drove out for our trip as usual. The first day was super fun. We stopped at Four Corners, a fun hill to climb, and we did lots of racing. The second day was a little more eventful.
In the middle of the winter of the 5th grade school year at the Kaneland Mcdole Elementary School, I decided to cover for my best friend so he wouldn't get in trouble from my teacher. It was very cold while I waited at the bus stop every morning trying to amuse myself by sliding down the icy driveways. Ethan S., Sergio, and Grant were my best friends in 5th grade. Sergio was Mexican and a little shorter than me. He also sat next to me in desks of 5 or 4.
The final carry of half a mile from Portage to Blackstone Lake was made with difficulty by groping our way through the dense woods in the dark, and we gladly betook ourselves at once to the hospitable mansion of logs of the settler on the shore of Blackstone Lake. The cabin being duly “smudged,” all turned in and slept soundly till awakened by the musical notes of the early rising mosquitoes. A net worn over our heads both night and day contributed largely to our comfort, though no such device will keep out the microscopic sand fly. Oil of pennyroyal and tar, etc., did pretty well, but the net is the best for blackflies and mosquitoes. The mosquitoes appear to thrive particularly there, and we were invited to believe that in a neighboring beaver meadow their hum was such as to
The first time I went to Mackinac Island was a truly unforgettable experience. Lots of people have always told me “We can’t go, we can’t fit the wheelchair on the boat.” But during last summer in August we decided to go Mackinaw City instead. I was super excited for it, I don’t why I had been to the city parts a thousand times over. That and I was sick as a dog with an unexplainable cold but that didn’t stop mom from saying “okay we’re going.”
The bus ride to Pillager Lake was short and peaceful, compared to most bus rides. It was of course bumpy, but that just seems to make a bus ride funner. The ambiance of the bus felt awkward, almost alien. Like we weren't really meant to be there, or nobody wanted to be, hopefully the latter. A happier part of the ride was looking at the fall colors, which seemed to be particularly beautiful around Pillager Lake.
24 Hour Limo If my friend and I could have a limo for 24 hours I would want to go to South Dakota. Three things I would want to do there are, got to Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, and Crazy Horse Monument. The first place we could go to is Mount Rushmore. We could go there because it is the only monument that has all four presidents heads carved into rock.
Hello! Yes I am doing well and had been travelling a lot recently. I am going to Big Bear Lake in CA this weekend with a couple friends. Time to ski! haha
Wisconsin Dells One day in July my family was getting ready for our trip to Wisconsin Dells. My Mom said’ it’s beautiful and sunny their in the summer and you will have fun’ said Mom. I am so excited to go to Wisconsin Dells because there is a water park called Noah 's Ark it’s the biggest waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. Also there was a restaurant called Mac’s Macaroni and cheese shop. But my Dad said’ is everyone ready to go to Wisconsin Dells’ said Dad.
Throughout my life I have done many amazing things. When asked to my “best moment” was, I didn’t have to think long before I came up with my trip on the Teton Wagon Train in Wyoming. The trip was simply amazing, we spent a whole week outside in the mountains. During this trip I rode a horse for the first time. This was, by far my favorite part of the whole trip.
I sit on a rock while watching a picture perfect sunset. If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Massanutten. I would go to Massanutten because of the breathtaking scenery, thrilling water park and the amazing activities. Everyday there is beautiful scenery. There is a miniature canyon in Massanutten, that has a gorgeous blanket of fog that covers it also, Massanutten always has clear skies and elegant mountains just a couple miles away.
Boom! The trunk of the silver chipping van slammed shut. I was so excited I could barely stay in my seat. My mom jumped into the van and started it up. Just like that, we began the outstretched journey to Brownsville, Texas.
This summer was filled with great times and a lot of fun with the family. For example, my trip to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It all started out at 7:30 AM and with me, I was my morning self wearing baggy sweatpants, and an out of control bed head awaiting to be tamed. My sister Sam and I gather our things before we head into grandma’s car for a trip of a lifetime.
