In summary, on 09/21/15 at 0418 hours I was patrolling the area of 1600 S. Laramie Ave., at which time I observed a male subject with a youthful appearance walking northbound 16th Street. I made contact with the subject, at which time he identified himself as (Rosas, Alexis DOB 04/21/97). While speaking with Rosas, I detected a strong odor of fresh cannabis emanating from his person. Rosas related he had some cannabis in his sweater pocket. I recovered a silver box containing a green leafy substance from Rosas ' right sweater pocket.
I was never interested in tractors until I went to Louisiana last summer. Going to Louisiana was one of the best things that has ever happened to me during my life. Going to Louisiana was so awesome being able to watch and drive enormous diesel tractors and watch my uncle cut rice with a combine(which is a machine that is used to cut rice on a farm. It helped me learn about rice and the machines that farmers use to cut rice. I got to see where the rice is stored after it is cut, my uncle dries out the rice to get all the moisture out before they sell it and take the rice out of the rice bins.
Every year, my family goes on a snowmobile trip with my friend Aftyn’s family in Spearfish, South Dakota. About two years ago, we drove out for our trip as usual. The first day was super fun. We stopped at Four Corners, a fun hill to climb, and we did lots of racing. The second day was a little more eventful.
Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
As we finally stepped off the plane and looked out the windows on the way into the airport, we saw the beautiful snow globe of Montana where we had planned our winter skiing trip. I was traveling with my family and my cousins who we often travels with. We would usually go a lot farther than within the United States, but for this particular trip we were more interested in the skiing than being tourists. The Bozeman, Montana airport was a farm. There were so many different animals all over the wall it might as well had been a hunting lodge; however, this in no way scared me off for this trip.
One of the most difficult things I have ever experienced is moving to Idaho before my junior year of high school from Utah. Despite this being a common occurrence for people it was hard for me because it uprooted me from the community I had lived in for the past seven years, and the people I loved. It caused me to leave friends that I grew up with and that I couldn’t imagine leaving. And forced me to meet new friends and discover a new place. As I have had time to reflect on my experiences it causes me to realize that it doesn’t matter where you are, or the people you know, but how you react in the situation.
This summer I had so much fun doing outdoor activities. On a birthday trip to Pigeon Forge, TN, with my family, we did a ropes course, went zip lining, and went rafting. Doing all those activities in one day filled me with excitement and fear at the same time. At the end of the day, I was tired but happy!
Getting down to Nebraska was harsh and the trail was dusty. The children like me had to take care of the animals. Jim, Antonia and myself became really good friends after living next door to each other for a while and we do everything together. When I work, I help my dad to plant and harvest crops and hunt for food. We planted and harvested corn, potatoes, pumpkin, wheat, peas, carrots and tomatoes.
My trip to South Dakota was the most memorable vacation I have been on because of the many marvels the landscape had to offer. I fondly remember diving into history and learning about the historic sites, marveling at the vastness of the Black Hills and Badlands, and gawking in amazement at the beauty and mystery of the caves. e. Preview: My trip encompassed many of the famous sites that South Dakota has to offer. Visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the Badlands, the Black Hills, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave and Homestake Mine.
I grew up in a city called Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Population was approximately 200,000 which is considered the largest city in South Dakota. It was relatively small for me, because I do consider myself a city girl. Growing up in Sioux Falls was rough, the four season weather was always bipolar and you never knew what to expect from it. The city itself is urban, with many tall buildings downtown.
Wisconsin Dells One day in July my family was getting ready for our trip to Wisconsin Dells. My Mom said’ it’s beautiful and sunny their in the summer and you will have fun’ said Mom. I am so excited to go to Wisconsin Dells because there is a water park called Noah 's Ark it’s the biggest waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. Also there was a restaurant called Mac’s Macaroni and cheese shop. But my Dad said’ is everyone ready to go to Wisconsin Dells’ said Dad.
A Montana Fishing Trip As we walked down to the river, the birds were making a whistling noise, and it was quite annoying because the birds were so loud Will and I could barely hear each other. When we were walking down to the river on a rock that was on the path was a famous quote from Muhammad Ali and it was about the river and it said “Rivers, Ponds, Lakes, and Streams - they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do - they all contain truths.”
When I was a Sophomore in High School my dad had been out of work for a couple and was forced to take a job in Odessa, TX , so he promptly moved to Texas to start his new job. My mother and I had to stay in California so I could finish high school and so she could take care of her parents. From then on, I was only really able to see my dad for a week every month or two and we were unable to keep the strong connection we had before.
I was extremely uneasy about moving to somewhere new but I threw my bags into the trunk and closed it very softly and ran my hand across the back of the car. As I opened the back door I glanced back at the old house one last time before stepping into the back of the car. My brother very quickly got in the other side of the car and very excitedly yelled “come on! Let’s go!”
Alabama Trip My mom and and dad told me in December that we were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama to visit my grandparents. Gulf Shores is the southernmost town in Alabama, located on the north coast of the Gulf of Mexico. I have been there twice when I was little. I remember that I collected seashells and went swimming with Boppa in the pool.
