Personal Narrative On Homecoming Night

The specific incident took place on Homecoming Night, October 11, 2015. I had gone out to dinner with my siblings and I had arrived back at the dorm around 11:30 P.M. It was my good friend Andrea’s birthday that day and Hanna, Emily and I hadn’t done anything for her due to Homecoming events on campus. We were pretty tired from the day’s events so we decided to stay in South Hall that night. Looking for something to do, Clayton texted us asking if we wanted to hang out in his room. With nothing better to do, we all agreed. After sitting in they’re for a while, listening to music, we were getting bored. Clayton said we could play water pong if we wanted, so we decided why not? Later, Emily and I received a text from our friend Andrew asking if he could come over and hang out. We agreed and invited him to sleep over so he didn’t have to have a friend come pick him up later. If I had used these values then the situation at hand would have turned out completely different. From this incident I learned that I should have taken better responsibility. Since Andrew was Emily and I’s guest we should have had to courage to take a stand and ask Andrew to stop drinking. We should have enforced the rule of underage drinking and drinking in the residence hall is not allowed. The next value of I should have had was respect. Out of respect for Clayton we should have never allowed Andrew in his room when we found out he had alcohol. It was nice enough of Clayton to invite everyone over and that was taken advantage of completely. I should have had the courage to tell Andrew to stop because not only where we guest, but it was not Andrew’s place to make decisions concerning
