Grew up in a rural area a tiny place named Bird Cove, no roads nor electricity until in the 50th. Gasoline lamps lighted up the darkness of our homes. Wood stoves kept bodies warm during the day and at night. Kept the hungry belly filled to content because families were able to cook daily meals on the
Honestly I like writing and reading and hearing people’s take on a text. This class, which was filled with all of that, however I did not like and my attitude clearly reflected that. Every student learns differently and personally no matter how much I favor the subject, I vibe off of my environment. My table mates. The life of the class.
One warm Friday afternoon two summers ago, I was invited to go on a trip to Carowinds. I always wanted to go, so this was the perfect opportunity for me. To experience something, I have wanted since I was a little girl. I remember sitting on the sofa at my boyfriend’s house in their den watching tv and his mother came in talking to us about how she wants to plan a little trip to Carowinds. To get away for the weekend and have a good time and relax.
The first thing I wake up to was the stench. “Hey, move along! Do not slack behind.” Someone yelled in the front of the line. We are moving through the muck in Song Tra Bong.
My pangrilla lives in the bamboo forest that has a lot of bamboo and trees. My pangrilla has black and white fur so when it's sleeping in the trees it blends in with the thick leaves. It is because of reading that it helped develop my interest in writing and journaling, which is enjoyable for me. Just like reading, writing is a great way for me to unwind. I love to write about topics I’m passionate about
I like the idea of being in a small class with students who are just as driven to succeed as I am. Not only that but I feel that having the challenge of applying learning to the real world will help me better my understanding of the material
Another thing that I enjoyed was creating and voting on the shirt we will make for the end of the year. If I were to take this class over again, something I would do differently would be to involve myself more in the class. I feel as if I would have involved myself more, then I would have understood more. When studying, try to get rid of all distractions. If distractions are present, it takes away the motivation to finish what needs to be done.
Introduction While trying to find a topic to research and write about, I attempted to comb my brain in search of my greatest passions. Ideas such as sports, trucks, and politics stood out as potentials, but I quickly discarded the collection in favor of my more hotly burning passion: duck hunting. Ducks dominate my thoughts and dreams in an overwhelming fashion. The pursuit of waterfowl has influenced my life in a myriad of ways, such as impacting my college choices, affecting how I spend my time, and dictating how I budget my money. Even my Christmas gifts revolved around the sport as I received numerous pieces of equipment designed to aid my endeavors chasing the aquatic game birds.
“Ma 'am, I 'm gonna try my hardest ta keep myself straight. I might’ve fell off the wagon, but I’s got back up, didn 't I?” “Yes, sir, you sure did! “ “And, I’s a keep pickin’ myself up as long as I has y’all ta lean on…” “I talked with Henry last night and we have decided to move up to Cherokee County.
I enjoy writing to express myself, also. I?m not much of a public speaker, but I can sure write a great speech on paper. I have always been able to express myself through writing better than verbally. I also, write to learn if I am studying a subject and watching a lecture I must take notes or at the end I can?t remember anything that was discussed. I write reminder notes and anything else that I need to remember or know.
My passion for writing was sparked by a yeti at the top of Mount Everest. When I was in third grade, I had a class assignment to write about an expedition climbing to the top of Mount Everest. This was thrilling for me, and although it was an in-class assignment, I decided to bring it home and continue working on it. When I showed my teacher the final draft, she loved the unique perspective and the twist I put at the end of the story: the expedition had to fight the yeti at the top of the mountain before returning home. I knew then that writing was my passion and began spending my spare time writing stories in countless notebooks and on my mom’s old laptop.
I wish I was able to write about something that I enjoy. Since I write a lot for my course/assignments I do have writing assignments that I am most proud of. My 9th grade final research
I want to be an author when I grow up so I can elicit the feelings of readers and imagination like my favorite authors do now. I’m a very competitive person so my goal in life is to have a book publish that is known better than Harry Potter, and all the other books that are well known. I write a lot, it depends on my mood what I write. I have written poetry and stories. I do have a story on wattpad, but I wrote it based off my friends and they don’t know about it, so its not something
Writing is extremely comforting to me, I even find it therapeutic. As a young writer, I would write short stories on silly ideas like puppies or flowers because I enjoyed that. As I progressed through middle school, I picked up different styles of writing by reading books from various authors. The more styles of writing that I read, the more I wrote. I used to write about fictional characters and subjects.
