History - the study of past events, particularly in human affairs. Asking me to write about the History of Flagger Force is like asking me to write my autobiography. I say this because I am officially the longest tenured operations employee in King of Prussia. Much like we say every member of our field staff remembers their first week on the job, I remember my first week on the job also.
Rebels Without a Cause Not very many people have affected me in the same way as my friend Jake Fernholz. I have never realized the influence he has had on me until someone pointed out that we talk and think the same way. I only met Jake two years ago in track, when a pulled hamstring injury caused Mr. Kellerman to have me practice with the long distance kids. Mr. Kellerman forced me into staying on the long distance team and that is where I started to hit it off with Jake. It took me a long time to be comfortable with Jake, but when I did we quickly found our common interests.
The informative speeches delivered from my peers were about the community as of where the majority of us come from or a place where my peers call home. I learned many interesting things. For example, how El Dia de Los Muertos is a very special event mostly taken in Aguas Calientes or just in general in Mexico but is still celebrated in the United States. I learned how “Papel Picado” is a famous thing they do for El Dia de Los Muertos and how people can decorate Papel Picado such as making skulls or others designs that represent death. Also, how here at Csun they have a Dia de Los Muertos event that takes up to three days in honor to those who have departed.
I wanted them to be proud of me. Instead, they were far too distracted with the utter chaos that dominated the Ceremony to enjoy the student’s accomplishments. Not only were the speakers still practicing the program’s activities while the parents were arriving, but they actually began the introduction while the setup crew scrambled to finish piecing the stage together. The bangs and clangs of the last minute preparations were only outmatched by the rapid fire inductee name announcements, that resulted in a bumbling, befuddled,
Freeing the Jews Ben, Damian, and some Partisan Fighters go on an adventure in Warsaw, Poland in 1945 to free the Jews from the captivity. The Nazi soldiers are holding our families in concentration camps with Hitler controlling almost everybody. We hope to free them and get back to our normal, happy lives. Ben and I join the Partisan fighters in hope of freeing the Jews stuck in concentration camps.
Several individuals from different ethnicities, races, and citizenships, compose a society. The United Sates allow us to have a close interaction with numerous individuals from diverse backgrounds. In my own case I have been able to interact with many incredible individuals from all over the world who come from extremely different backgrounds. I am a proud Mexican who cherishes respect towards diversity. Coming from a very suffered country I am able to understand not only what does it means to feel proud to be a Latino, but also I can feel acquainted with the pain and struggle that our community has to face every day.
Patriots at Heart The students rose from their seats as the speaker directed “Will you please rise for the pledge of allegiance”. They placed their right hands on their chests and recited the pledge by memory as most of their minds drifted towards upcoming due dates, tests and finals. Those who stood up straight, admired the flag, and acknowledged all who had made sacrifices in order for them to be here demonstrated patriotism for their country patiently and diligently.
Loud noises seemed to scare me, I have no idea why but screeching tires, Revving engines, screaming children, and even the occasional barking dog will get me on edge and paranoid. In my younger years I joined the US Air Force as a way to get away from everyday life, I just wanted to get out of the everyday monotony of work, sleep, wake, repeat. The only thing that brought me any kind of variety was my sweetheart back home, Hazel. We met in high school when I was just 17 years of age, somehow we are still together today through the night terrors and struggles I constantly suffer.
The American experience is not unfamiliar to me, I have been visiting America since I was a child and as a child I always wanted to move to America. My first visit here I fell in love with the culture specifically the freedom of expression. However the opportunity did not emerge for me to move to America legitimately and as promising young child, I did not want to damage my future by moving to a country illegally where I could not live to my full potential. I stayed in Jamaica and I completed my University education as a registered nurse and had become comfortable with my life in Jamaica. I started working the spring of 2013 and upon receival of my first paycheck, I was reminded that this is not the place I wanted to be.

On October 1, 2015 Alexis and I attended “Greek Life.” The performances were so amazing. Before I was enrolled into college I was so excited to see sorority and fraternity battles and performances. Seeing videos of the fraternities and sororities dancing all over the internet made me more excite to be a part of a University. I will always remember these performances.
