It was the last inning in our all-star game, and we were losing 10 to 8. Our team had 2 outs and we couldn’t get the third. Our pitcher was doing bad, throwing all balls, while all of us in the field were tired, ready to fall asleep at any moment. There goes another walk. They score again.
The story is told, if not in exact words from each source, of a white buffalo calf that changed into a beautiful young woman who brought to

There was once a boy living in south McAllen which was often referred to as La Balboa, and a sweet loving young girl living in North McAllen, these two individuals were unaware to the event that would soon be taking place that would change both of their lives forever. These two individuals were my mom and dad mom was usually refers to as La Prieta while dad was called Willi. It was the year 1995 where Willi’s friend Ray and La Prieta’s friend Cristina begged and begged for them to go on double dates with them, both Willi and La Prieta always refused. After begging for so long they finally but reluctantly agreed to go out with them. They weren’t expecting much but to go out and hopefully have some fun along the way, little did they know the
Ranch workers barely make any money at the end of the month, even after having to work for countless hours every day. George dreams about moving to his own farm, but he is economically powerless. He hardly has any money between himself and Lennie. As George and Candy discuss moving onto their own farm, George states, “We got ten bucks between us” (Steinbeck 59). As ranch workers, it is not uncommon to not have much money.
My five signature themes were: Achiever- As an Achiever, “No matter how much you may feel you deserve a day of rest, if the day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, you will feel dissatisfied.†Sometimes people call me an overachiever, but that is how I feel is my normal. Harmony- I do not like when people argue because I feel there is a better way for everyone to get along. Once everyone is in harmony, life is much smoother. Input-
The Spanish explorer will have to walk back to camp... Humming a tune, the miner’s practiced fingers sift through the stream’s gravel and sand. He suddenly grasps several large slivers of shining ore and gives a whoop and a holler. Rising quickly from the bank he scrambles back to a lone donkey. He stops and the corners of his mouth turn down into a frown.
LA Spirit! While i have so many things i’m passionate about the thing that comes to me the most is my city. Los Angeles has been so good to me in the concept of sports. As a young kid growing up in South Central, all i would think about was what LA team was being broadcasted live. This was around 2005 so you could imagine what was around at the time.
Upward Bound with Tarrant County College along with AVID at South Hills High School have guide me through my high school trajectory. During the last 3 years AVID has helped me speak up and diminished my self-esteem issues such as speaking to other mates and creating what we called an AVID family. Upward Bound has been a catalyzer for me to learned how to managed my finances such as loans, budgets, and banking services. Since I was the lead of my family both organizations helped me become a more experienced person at a younger age. More than a college readiness program AVID and Upward Bound are the dispensers of life lessons and the nest of future leaders.
Ways Through the Waves This summer break, I went to Oceanside for a vacation with my family. We haven’t been to the beach for five years and we finally went. I was so excited for our visit at the beach. Ever since I was little I was always scared of stepping or going into the water because I always thought that a shark would come and eat me. This time I actually went into the water.
An outsider: a person who does not belong. I stepped onto the chilly, uninviting plane with a sparkle of hope and adventure in my eyes. I was flying in an enormous plane to go on a gruesome eighteen hour flight. At first sight, every single person shot at us, not because we were flying a plane. But, because we were eight American-
So the social norm that I broke I thought it was kind of funny. what I did was that I would walk around and taking people’s carts. I would grab the cart and say “well this is everything I need. ”I went to Target instead of Walmart because I go there a lot so I don’t want to go back to target ever again anyways. Taking mine at I look like crap because I’m sick.
I have had tough hope once, I had to move to a different state and start to get used to the new place. Moving was hard and took a long time to move everything to our new house. My new house was hard to get used to because it was different and I wasn 't used to it which made it hard to sleep and I had to leave my friends behind and I would have to find new friends. Making new friends was hard because I would be alone until I found new friends and I would have no one to talk to so I would be very quiet. Usually I would always be talking to a friend and I am only social with friends.
The roller-coaster ride here can sometimes be quite trilled, And always I feel nearly suffocate, Maybe I think I’ve a breathing problem here, And I’m always trilled by the roller-coaster here.
