Six Flags and the mine train. Near the middle or end of the summer my cousins and I were on facetime playing a game called ‘Growtopia’. We were talking and Ally told me that they were going to Six Flags on Sunday and that she and Abby could each bring a friend.
In the short story The Roller Coaster by SHelby Ostergaard, the character affects the theme. Hudsons bravery changed the theme of the story which is, to overcome your fears. Hudson is at Six Flags with his friends for a school field trip. He was so excited and Hudson has been looking forward to this for a long time. They got to the amusement park and his friends were all excited to go on the biggest roller coaster in the park, The Twisted Twister, but Hudson wasn’t.
Mackinac Island. Never thought I would be here, but I was, FOR REAL! We got off the boat and waited for our bikes to come out of the boat. We got our bikes and started our route around the island. We rode about half a mile, when my cousin Andie said she had to go to the bathroom.
Just when we got up close to the front my heart started beating a mile a minute. I was scared, I wanted to go back and not do this. Though I knew waiting 2 ½ hours couldn’t be for nothing so I rode the coaster. It was extremely fun and fast. I loved
I watched the movie, scene by scene, frame by frame, rewinding, forwarding, unable to believe my eyes. I witnessed my own murder. The camera caught Susan or Tracy or whatever her name was, tying me up. I looked so foolish, the beatific smile on my face was sickening. I felt like throwing up.
“Brrrring!” rang the alarm. I woke up, turned the alarm off, and buried myself under the covers. They were as soft as a kitten’s fur, and as warm as the air from a heater. After a long hug from my blanket, I finally got hot and went to use the bathroom.
I loved SeaWorld. SeaWorld had something other parks didn’t have; it had Shamu the friendly killer whale, which I would later find is truly an oxymoron. My parents took me to the ocean all of the time and when I saw the Shamu show at SeaWorld I realized that I too could find a large killer whale, become friends with it, and eventually establish a friendship with the massive whale to stand on top of its mouth while it craved some fish. While my dream of becoming a trainer in Shamus’s tank has sunk, my creative nature is fueled by any visit to the world beyond my classroom.
When I was 10 years old this little movie named Free Willy came out. I fell in love with that movie. I actually cried when Willy jumped over that jetty and freed himself. I wanted Free Willy everything. By this time I haven’t been to Seaworld yet.
I could not imagine going on the monstrous roller coaster called Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studio in Florida . I thought as I stood at the gate to the coaster swallowing hard as the many huge loops scared me. My dad and I stood there as he looked at me with an expression saying let's go on it, but I could not be sure, and then I got my answer. “ Hey Tobin do you want to go on the roller coaster ?” My dad asked as his face blew up with happiness.
I walked straight up to what looked like an old antique roller coaster made out of wood. I tipped my head up looking at the roller coaster which appeared to go on forever into the sky. “That one I said steadily. We got in the back of the line and I was a little nervous I was about to go on my first ever roller coaster. The coaster came back the where the line
Growing up I remember leaving my grandmother’s house and going to a nearby creek. The creek was beautiful it had tadpoles and other tiny fish swimming around. It had the most vivid weed collection circling around it and, to me, it never screamed, dangerous! My grandma always told my sisters and I not to play in the creek. We wouldn’t listen to her instead we would travel with a group of friends into the creek.
Vignettes Drowning Swimming, my family and I were planning a fun trip to the beach. We woke up early in the morning to start our 4-hour drive. My dad and my uncle planned to meet up and follow each other. It was a long drive I slept most of the time, but when I woke up we were already there. My parent had already checked in, so my cousins and I went to the beach.
First Time Riding Top Thrill Dragster We walked up to the top thrill dragster. The line was only half an hour it usually is a one hour to two hour wait. It was dark out. All the rides glowed in the sky like Hollywood lights. I heard the screech from the Top Thrill Dragster.
“All dreams can come true if you have the courage to pursue them.”-Walt Disney My trip to Disney World was really enjoyable, one for the record books. We drove to Florida and spent 5 days there. When we arrived in Orlando, we went to our condo, at World Quest Resorts.
One of the things in my life that have challenged me is my first time on a roller coaster. It all started when one summer we decided we were going to go on vacation to Salt Lake City. We would try and find an amusement park to go to. We found one named Lagoon. We got there and they had a lot of roller coasters.
