My palms were sweating. My heart was beating fast and furiously. This was it. My very first upside-down roller coaster ride at age nine in Hershey Park. The Sooper Dooper Looper was so intimidating.
As we walked inside the dirty, salt stench, of a theme park, My sister started going nuts wanting to ride everything. My parents told her to wait a minute while they got themselves situated. Finally the part of the trip I was dreading the most, the part where I had to go ride the blue streak. The line wasn 't too long so we decided to go. I sat in the car with my sister, which by the way was a little bigger then me, so the bar that came across our lap only went up to my stomach.
Over the summer I traveled to Tennessee to see my cousins. The day we arrived, we visited Lake Winnie, an amusement park with tons of rides with a water park. It was a joyful day. That day I went on the first roller coaster I 've ever been on. While walking nervously up the steps to get into line with my cousin, I felt the adrenaline rushing through my body, and I felt very anxious.
For the longest time had I been asking to go here, the day has finally came. I was nine then, my first time at Cedar Point (other then when I was like two or three but I don’t count that) and for most of the car ride I was all smiles. My family would look out and see who could be the first one to find the roller coasters. I thought it took forever to get through the car lines-being an anxious and impatient girl-
Everyone was so excited except for me. We went to a roller coaster. I told my mom that I was scared but she told me to try it and I did. And now I’m not scared of roller coasters anymore.
We got our tickets and went in through the gates. My dad introduced me to the train ride called “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad” there and, holy cow! A couple of times on the ride, if it were not for the safety bar holding me down, I would have been long gone. The next day was even better: we went to the Disneyland California Adventures side and that was when dad introduced me to the big blue-and-white roller coaster just beyond the Mickey Mouse Ferris wheel.
I could not imagine going on the monstrous roller coaster called Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studio in Florida . I thought as I stood at the gate to the coaster swallowing hard as the many huge loops scared me. My dad and I stood there as he looked at me with an expression saying let's go on it, but I could not be sure, and then I got my answer. “ Hey Tobin do you want to go on the roller coaster ?” My dad asked as his face blew up with happiness.
