Sophomore year I was playing at a soccer tournament with my old team. I was playing a great game even though the score was not reflecting my hard work. Towards the end of the game I jumped up caught the ball landed, my body went one way and my legs went the other, then I fell to the ground. Everyone around me had heard a pop, I knew it was my ACL. From this moment in my soccer career I knew I needed to be determined and to be focused on my recovery in order to get back out there.
We burst out the doors to the cold air whispering in our ears. I recalled the challenge that Zach made with me. He said he will stop bullying me if I can score a homerun in today 's kickball game. I took this challenge as a means to stop being bullied by him. Zach has been tormenting me as a means to discriminate me for the past two years.
Since I was four years old, I have been a part of a team. I have been on a dance team, softball team, basketball team, volleyball team. Through my times with the sports team, I learned how to work collaboratively with others and learn how to look at things from others perspectives. I realized that others may have different ideas than me that might actually be better than mine. What I learned when I was on a sports team when I was seven to when I was

The past few weeks here at the University of Maine at Farmington have been excellent. I had the opportunity to come a week early to try out for the girls soccer team. I didn 't make the team but in retrospect, I think that was the best thing to happen to me. I moved into Dakin on the 24th of August. My roommate there was a sophomore that was here for the field hockey team.
If I have to choose a favorite sport it would have to be football. Football is physical hard-hitting contact sport that is full of excitement rooting for my home team the New York Jets. Back in 1997 is where I developed a full interest; watching and playing football at a young age. I have played fullback and linebacker both positions took a lot of hard work, conditioning, and practice to execute my performance on the field.
Last year I became captain on the Soccer Varsity team of my high school. Being captain isn’t just being the head of all the girls, but is doing the best for the team. My goal was to work as a team in and outside the field, and working together to win and have fun. But my conflicts with certain girls were getting in the way, because how can I expect them to do a certain thing if I’m not setting an example. I chose to talk to those girls, set things straight and set an example to my teammates.
This year was great some of my highlights are basketball and touch rugby. I’m proud that i moved to room 43 because i have gotten smarter stronger and faster also i have meet some new friends that helped me thru the year i will miss some of them. The most challenging thing was the tests because I had to think hard. I’ve achieved my goal of being better at soccer because I’ve been play with Reece and Guy and they have helped me aswell. I want to to the same goal as this year getting better at soccer and hopefully I can find Reece and Guy To up my Soccer skills because i think if you play with better people you get better as well.
Throughout my life people have told me to have a goal; and not just the type I like to score in a soccer game. In life everyone hits a rough patch here and there, but the ones that exceed learn to solve problems. I am involved in sports here at prospect. I played varsity soccer this year and last year. Through my four years of playing, my coaches always told me a quote by hall of fame baseball player Derek Jeter.
I believe that some of the greatest things that I have learned through sports have been imparted upon me after I experienced some sort of adversity, great or small. I have been able to accept the fact that life is not always fair and that the only way to achieve success is through hard work and perseverance. Another lesson that I have learned through athletics is that nothing worth achieving can be achieved without working hard. High school sports not only require hard work in season, but also many months of hard work and sweat in the off-season. Great success can only be achieved when months of hard work finally pay off.
My brother would always be there showing me everything that I needed to learn to become a good soccer player. Knowing the sport and knowing how to play it is the best thing because you get to meet new people. People start to
My busy soccer schedule lead me to be focused and time efficient when doing homework or studying for upcoming exams. Along with time management, soccer also taught me teamwork and leadership skills.
Reflective Narrative Imagine I was running intently down the soccer field and when I got to the goal I fired off my best shot only to realize I missed and the ball landed right in the goalies hands as if it was meant to be. Then as I walked off the field I thought to myself that would have been such an easy shot for all my other teammates but I missed. Comparing yourself is bad all in its own especially when the person you are being compared to has more experience and lots of advantages over you cause it can lower yourself esteem next time try not to compare yourself, practice, and know you tried your absolute best.
The best feeling to know you are wanted and you have fun with the team. Training and practicing almost everyday or at least doing practice for at least half an hour is still good. It is important to eat during the day and stay hydrated with
