The bow crosses the finish line and the stroke rate goes down. My heart sinks in my chest I look around and see the other boats in front of ours and realize that we lost. We sit there a few meters after the finish line, and then, with our heads slumped, we start to row back to the dock. I feel a frustration building up in my head, as hit the water in anger. I hear other people in the boat mumbling how we should have won. When the boat hits the dock I climb out and put my shoes on. I pull the boat out of the water with my teammates. As we walk towards the trailer I think about how the whole boat thought the race was ours when we were at the starting line. I slam the boat down into
