Personal Narrative: The Unknown Greek God

There is a myth that one million years ago, an unknown Greek god who possessed a formidable power, existed in the deep, dark bottom of a lake. This lake happened to be at a nature reserve that my family frequently visited. We participated in many recreational activities including canoeing, swimming, and kayaking. I looked forward to it every year until a gruesome incident happened and I never went to the nature reserve again, all because of a girl named Francis, the girl who heard the knock. It all started when a 17-year-old reckless and rebellious girl named Francis was on a trip with her family. One night when her family was asleep, Francis wanders off into the woods to seek a quiet place to relax. While she is walking, a strong wind rushes past her she hears a whisper “come to me”. Scared Francis remembers the legend about the Greek gods who lived at the nature reserve, but she remembers it is fake and convinces herself she imagined it. She continues walking until she reaches the lake, she finds a boat hops in and paddles for at least 20 minutes. Francis stops when she believes she had reached the deepest part of the lake, she lays down and stares at the sky. Relaxed Francis closes her eyes then she hears a noise, it sounded like a knock. The color from her face disappears and her breath shorten. As she gasps for air, feelings of regret flood her mind. She decides to paddle back to camp, after at least an hour of paddling she realizes she is not moving and she hears the noise again, “knock knock”. Francis decided to figure out what it is. She takes her oar and pokes around the water hoping to find some sort of fish. To her sudden surprise, a tremendous force rips away the oar. Scared, she jumped back and knocked her other oar in. She sits down and starts sobbing her eyes out, with no choice left but to wait, Francis get her journal and starts to right about what is happening to pass
