At that moment, I was as nervous as I have ever been. Viktoria Komova’s performance determined if I would become the Olympic gold medalist in Women’s gymnastics. My hardwork, determination, and strength brought me to where I am today. Her score popped up and excitement was brought upon me. I just won the Olympic gold medal. The five of us walked in confidently, heads up and chests high. All eyes were on us as we approached the locker rooms, especially me. As my name was called, my teammates wished my good luck. The four inch wide beam was nerve-racking, but I knew I would nail my performance. Once again, I could feel everyone’s eyes on me when I stood up on the beam waiting for my music to start. The upbeat music started and I beamed at the judges, but their faces were as straight as could be. Their stern looks gave me a feeling of uneasiness, but I couldn’t let it mess up my performance. All of the events, beam, uneven bars, and vault, I perfected. For me to win, I needed to nail my floor routine and I needed Viktoria Komova to not do well. It was head to head between us. Breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, I approached the spring mat. My nervous smile spread across my face and the music began. Leaping back and forth across the mat even more powerful than I ever have before calmed my nerves. My first and most important gymnastic passes was approaching, it had to be powerful, precise, and clean. I could feel my legs shaking as I ran fast into my double front flip. The rest of the pass went fast and I didn’t realize until I landed that it was the best I have ever performed the skill before. I could feel the energy around me as the crowd was standing as I performed. My last gymnastic pass brought it to end and I felt incredibly proud of all my performance’s today.
