Personal Narrative: What Makes Me Who I Am

Whether my life is filled with challenges or just an ordinary one. I believe it’s what makes me who I am today. Well, I am Osama Ismail, current Application Programming student at HCC, some folks calling me Sam, and both names are acceptable to me. I’ve born in 5/31/1984 in Jeddah-Saudi Arabia. My Mom told me I was pointing my arms toward her the moment we were leaving the hospital after my birth as a sign of love or asking for a hug. Unfortunately, I can’t confirm it since my memory probably wasn’t yet activated. However, I remember very well when my father took me to the Disney World in Orlando, FL. When I was 9 years old. And can’t forget my non-stop driving from Phoenix, AZ to Houston, TX for straight 18-hour long! Well, can’t wait to know what else my life is heading next.
Will a three days old baby be mature enough to point his arms toward his mother seeking her attention? Well, that what my mother swears on. I had a self-challenge to do it in one straight non-stop journey. Driven through the desert within three different states. Left Phoenix, AZ at the dusk, when it happened to see the sunrise, I mostly made it to San Antonio, TX. I was too exhausted but the passion for winning the challenge kept me running until I parked my car home. Credit for the coffee I was drinking along the way, what kept up to keep going.
