Caitlynn's P.O.V. 3 months later I was laying on my back with my arms crossed over my belly and Maddie was laying next to me. She was sleeping, but since the apocalypse started I haven't been able to rest. So, I just laid around at night listening to the moaning and groaning of the zombies and Maddie's rhythmic breathing. It was so quiet at night now, no more screaming, no more panicked voices begging us to let them in, or even the occasional car crash. I assumed most of the other survivors were dead or were part of the undead. Most likely, the only reason Maddie and I had survived, was my experience with zombies in the video games. I was suddenly burdened with the thought of my half sister, Abigail. Had she survived? She had about as much …show more content…

A zombie was chowing down on the remains of what I thought was a lady. She had put up a good fight though, seeing as there were chunks of zombie meat on the floor and a bloodied hammer still in her cold hands. As I ducked, I heard something fly over my head. I looked up at what was behind me. The young boy had tossed a knife right into the approaching zombie's head. It was lying there in the white hall spattered in the smelly, gooey substance. A puddle lay beneath it's head. I stood up and brushed the dust and dirt off of my clothes. Right as I started to walk away, I heard multiple grunts following me. I quickly turned around to see what all the commotion was about, and a whole horde of zombies were making their way after us. I ran as fast as I could down the hall. When I made it to the first intersection, there were zombies coming from all three halls that I was supposed to be passing. I kept running, but there must have been something on the ground or I was an such an idiot to trip on my own feet. I was lying on the ground, helpless. I couldn't move. There were crates stacked along the wall that I tripped over. Some had fallen and covered my legs from my thighs down. The zombies were approaching faster and faster. My legs were
