Based on my learning and experiences in the CPD 150 class, I believe that most of the strategies that were taught in this class are very helpful in order to be a successful college student. However, a few of the factors that I think are very important and contribute a lot to college and life success are, victim and creator mindsets, self-motivation, self-management, and believing in yourself. In the beginning, some of these strategies were challenges for me. At this point, I have tried to work on myself and am continuing to work on areas that need improvement. In fact, I feel that there has been a lot of improvements in my weak areas since the beginning of the semester.

If one does not believe in themselves, there is no chance for them to be successful in life, because one’s success comes from what they believe. If one believes they are a failure, then they will end up being a failure. On the other hand, if one believes they can achieve their goals, then one day they will actually end up achieving their goals. I believe that I will be a successful student, so I follow the three rules for success. The first is showing up to class, because there is no way one can get good grades in a class without actually showing up to class. The second rule is, doing my best work and handing in the assignment on time. Finally, the third rule is participating actively and asking questions. After continuing these three rules for a while, they become habits and help me achieve my goals.
Taking this On Course class has helped me learn many things about myself. One of the things I learned is that I am capable of being a successful student if I continue to use the creator 's mindset and always thinking about the positive side in every situation. Even though I have to continue working on self-motivation and self-management a little more, it is helping me get on track with all my exams and assignments that I need to work on. I am a young student with great potential and I have learned that believing in myself is the key in being a successful
