Pharmacy is an intriguing field of work. With a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, there are many possibilities for my future because in the pharmacy field, there are a variety of opportunities available. My personal interest in the pharmaceutical profession stems from my desire to be involved in the improvement of one’s health, my fondness of science, and the ability to reach my fullest potential in an evocative career. I have always had motive to aid people and I have always been a kind-hearted, caring individual, but when I was 19-years-old, that drive became much stronger because I suffered a tragic loss. My grandfather passed away suddenly without warning and the cause is still unknown. It is suspected that he had blockage in the arteries in his legs, due to his diabetes. Losing someone so close to me took a great deal out of me. Having this happen has not only made me stronger, but it has also solidified that my career choice is correct. Yet, I am still gaining knowledge and learning the basics. I can only imagine how well I will do being a pharmacist. In high school, I held authoritarian positions in the marching band for two years, and had to learn to become comfortable around new people. Also, I had to learn to make others feel comfortable, which would be a respectable quality in a pharmacist.
