Psychology has been part of my life for many years. Since childhood, I have watched TV series about psychology. For example, I watched Criminal Minds, the TV show about psychology knowledge. Through this programme, I was attracted more and more towards this field. This is why I eventually decided to study psychology. Not only this, I become increasingly fascinated with the study of human behaviour and I know I wanted to know more. It interests me how physical behaviour is driven by diverse psychological principles and how these theories empower individuals to lead better lives. I am more certain of the fact that psychology is what I would like to pursue at university. I am especially interested in Sigmund Freud. I would say I have experienced many ups and downs in these 17 years. I was born in a single parent family, where my mother raised me up into who I am today. When it comes to studying, I encountered numerous exam failures at school. Most people may think of giving up, but I do the opposite. I continue to strive and I am not afraid of making mistakes and never give up. I believe this mentality is derived from a positive psychological way of thinking. Through these experiences, I feel that have learnt a set of unique personal skills, such as compassion, an inquisitive mind. I am proud of how my mother manages to overcome the challenges of being a single parent, and this has further motivated me to learn more about how people integrate ideas and facilitate communication. I aspire to social work after graduation, because I want to help more people to solve problems. I will use spare time to learn psychology. I search on the internet and read many books in my spare time. As a preparation for university for example, I read a book called "The
Interpretation of Dreams"written in 1900 by Sigmund Freud. I believe this is my favourite
