The person I am today is still a work in progress, and will continue to be until my last days. I continue to grow every day, and develop new characteristics that will benefit me in the future. I have many different characteristics that make up who I am as a person, and also a member of society. I draw my personality from both of my parents and it shines through best when I am presented with a situation that challenges me. I am the product of the environment in which I was raised . Both of my parents are hardworking individuals with a fire inside to keep bettering themselves and their lives. From watching them throughout my life I have gained these same qualities. I believe hard work is absolutely imperative when it comes to achieving things that you want. In order for hard work to take place I think that self motivation should be present. I try and maintain my self motivation because it makes every victory so rewarding. I show hard work and self motivation through my school work and extracurricular activities. I work very hard in the sports I participate in, and I always try to advance my skill. By applying myself completely I help out my teammate by encouraging them to work harder. …show more content…

Through my teammates I have learned to be selfless because I am not playing for myself, I am playing for every girl on the court with me. Everything about it is bigger than myself. Adversity is common when participating in sports, it tries to seep into every corner it can. With the help of my coaches I have learned to overcome adversity in all forms.
