PERSONAL STATEMENT‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐‐CULINARY ART I love tasting different food and cooking. For me, food can bring happiness to people. When I try a new food, I try to replicate that dish so that other people may enjoy it. Thanks to a Chinese animation about a chef who travels the world to become the best chef, I realized the power that food had to change others and leaves them with positive memories. As a man who wants to make others happy, being a chef is the best way for me to satiate this need. For me, to open a restaurant would be the ultimate realization of this desire. In China, I was never truly passionate about many of the subjects taught in class. I did poorly in physical activity and did not care much for the general education taught. However, after watching a documentary called “A Bite of China”, I learned about Chinese food and how it played a large part in Chinese culture. After watching that, I realized that my passion was in cooking, and I sought to become a chef capable of spreading Chinese food around the world.
