Personal Statement: Take Your Child To Work Day

93 Words1 Pages
When I was a Test Engineering Co-op at Cummins Inc. in Stoughton, WI, I volunteered for the Take Your Child to Work Day event on campus. For the event, a fellow co-op and I set up a simple test rig to demonstrate the importance air filtration system in engines to kids aged 6-12. The main objective of this was to galvanize kids, especially young girls, to pursue a career in STEM. In addition, I also participated in an Adopt-A-Park event, where all the co-ops volunteered to clean a park in a low-income neighborhood.
